Guest Jerry Ferro Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I have three hard drives on my computer running Windows 7 professional. I have an external hard drive which I use for backup. Windows 7 is a clean install on drive C. The second drive is partitioned G,H,I. The third drive is partitioned DEF. Backup used to work fine. Now, whenever I try to back up my computer, I get the message, do you want to format drive D? When I open Windows Explorer and locate my drives, it only lists drives C,D,E. What is going on? It's a like all of the partitions have disappeared. When I reboot the computer, all of my drives and partitions are shown again. If I tried to back up again, the same thing happens.
