Guest MargaretImeson Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Hi, I had a security alert whilst on line today, it came from Internet security which I think might be a private company selling computer security, I have not signed up for this which is sinster in its self, but when you take into account it tells me that I have 59 high risk trojans and other malware on my computer and then asks me to sign and pay money by credit card to get rid of them, and that I can't get on my security essentials or my paid for PC Cleaner to double check the computer for malware, and get this my main computer will not let me on help and support to ask this question, you must admit it does make one very suspicious, I do however have stopzilla on my computer which did do a scan which came back with no threats, so my question is this is INTERNET SECURITY linked to microsoft or not, it does have a shield similar to the microsoft one linked to it but not quite the same, the thing is that I can't get rid of this interloper untill I pay up, if it is not legitamate can you advise me how I can get this off of my computer because I am reluctant to go online untill this is done.
