Guest Joshua4 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Every 3 years we update our computers. With Windows XP we have never had an issue. We use DriveClone Pro by farstone to clone our computers. We setup a "master" computer with the OS settings and user profile setting we like, backup the partition and restore to the new computers. Usually around 130 computers. With Windows XP after re imaging you just ran sysprep and it allowed you type in the COA License for that machine and you were good to go. When running SYSPREP on Windows 7 it makes you create a user. When you type the username it says this account already exist. So you have to create another user name. Then go back in and delete the newly created user. Is there a way to make Windows7 SYSPREP act like Windows XP SYSPREP to where all it does is basically ask you the License key and activates the COA for that machine, instead of having to create this extra user every time? As long as the computer comes with a COA do we really need to run SYSPREP? Continue reading... Quote
