Guest Hollidaeus Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I know I must be missing something relatively simple on this problem but I'm sort of stumped. I've configured my boot image and my Windows 7 Professional Install image. I've configured and validated the two XML unattended scripts in WSIM; the first one for the PXE boot portion of the setup and the second for the imaging (OOBE) portion of the setup. My Image XML is being processed and working, at least portions are. My problem is that the computer name and AD account aren't being configured properly; they're being configured by the "AD DS" settings in the Properties sheet of the server and not the settings in the Image Unattended XML. I've watched the install process and when the PXE portion of the installation is finished the computer account is created in AD which means that WDS is joining the machine to the domain before the Image Unattended XML script is being processed. I'm going to be configuring multiple install images and each of them have their own naming scheme and their own OUs in AD so having everything go to a single OU with a single naming scheme like what is available in the AD DS properties sheet isn't going to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Continue reading... Quote
