Copy / Paste Function not working properly, will not paste multiple times

I searched through the forums and could not find a question exactly like mine. My copy / paste function will only work one time, then I need to copy the item over again and re-paste it if I need to paste multiple times. I see many people are having issues doing it once. I can’t paste more than once. I have Windows 2010/MS 7. Please help!!!
