Activation Key for migration to Parallels enviroment

My Uncle and employer had purchased a copy of Windows 7 prior to my employment with another IT gent. They had installed it on a pc rig and the rig's mother board had fried on them. He's not the tech type and decided to toss the rig and go to an all mac business enviroment. He was in need of some windows applications and decided to go the way of Parallels but the CD key is no longer valid for obvious reasons.

I guess I'm here on one knee to see what sort of mercy I can get kicked down to me. I was told the last rig didn't last a couple of weeks. I've been a Windows fan and loyal user since ever, and am just trying to set up a product the way we intended to use it when we bought it-for the business.
