MS Essentials Amber Warning Won't Go Away After Scan

I am running an E machine with MSEssentials and Windows NT. MSE has worked properly for many months. Now it shows me an amber warning indicating the machine has not had a scan in a while. But I did two full scans yesterday. I have uninstalled software, then downloaded new software but problem persists. When I downloaded another copy last week it worked properly for a day or so. Now it's on the fritz again. Can anyone please help me?
