Guest M.Steve Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Hello, I tried Windows7 today and installed it. With my previous Windows I created a Raid5 set from some of my disks. This set was healthy and OK. So I installed Windows7, when choosing the install disk the setup shows the disks as raid5 volume and detects them. I am not installing to the raid5 I install to a normal sata disk. After installing the Raid 5 is in status "Failed", all disks are marked as failed, but all disks are online active etc. Reactivating the disks doesn't change anything neither I was able to get the Raid5 up. As I thought my data is destroyed I installed old Windows again and the Raid5 set is back AND healthy again I can access the disk all data is still there and _fine_. So I put in Windows 7 dvd and bootet and choosed the browse in the disk setup and I can see all my disks and I am able to _ACCESS_ the raid disk from the setup and browse dirs etc. But after install it's in failed state again. Anyone can help? Or know how to fix that problem? Continue reading... Quote
