MSE and iolo system mechanic system gaurd running at the same time?

I have iolo system mechanic and it has a system gaurd that monitors processes, etc. and from what i know about anti-virus software a computer will operate slower if there are two anti-virus softwares on a computer. the iolo system gaurd is not an anit-virus it is system repair software whereas MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) is a Anti-virus Etc. and MSE has Realtime protection and it looks somewhat similar to what iolo system mechanic's system gaurd is doing also.

If there is someone who knows both software could please answer the following question: Should one of them be disabled? (MSE Realtime protection and/or iolo System mechanic system gaurd).

Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit & professional 64-bit
