Connectivity problem - appears to be DNS and or driver issue.

I have followed the instructions given in reply to previous questions for dealign with error message DNS server not responding (checking ipconfig eg).  Problem persists ; connection keeps dropping.  Using Windows 7 Professional 64.  Prob may be with drivers

for Dell Wireless 5540.  Have downloaded driver but unable to install b/c of authentication failure.  Any suggestions, pls?  ISP (Fast Hosts UK) is not helpful at all on this. Thanks in advance
