Burning pictures to cd used to take a few minutes, now it says it will take DAYS. How do I get it ba

I have window vista home premium. I have never had problem burning multiple pictures to a cd-r before. It used to take minutes, now I load the pictures and push burn and it starts off saying it will take minutes and then it just builds up to days. I rebooted, cleared temporary files, burned music just to see if it was burner that was problem but burned wave files without any problem. I am at a lose as to what problem is. I had even burned a dvd recently of photos, just doesn't want to burn phots any more
