Guest NewsBot Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I recently moved my operating system from a hard drive to an SSD. It seems to have moved successfully -- mostly. That is to say that Windows 7 loads. But it cannot find my desktop, and it tells me that my Windows is not genuine (but it is). Task Manager will allow me to establish a command prompt, but if I try to access any system files it tells me that it cannot find the path (even if I browse to the file). I think I either need to rename the drive from G to C (presumably by using MMC) or to activate the administrator account from the command line. Does anybody know how to do this? View the thread Quote
