Guest NewsBot Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Hi all, I got a laptop yesterday with Windows 7 64 bit. I wanted to change the default installation directory from C (my SSD with limited storage) to a larger drive (F). I ran regedit and followed steps HERE. That didn't seem to work. I recently tried running regedit again and got the error message "C:Windowsregedit.exe The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." If I try to run rstrui.exe, the same error message appears. It seems like I can't use any run line commands without this error message. I'm also no longer able to run .exe files from C:UsersmyNameDownloads . I was unable to find any other topics which could help and was hoping someone here could provide some assistance. Thanks so much View the thread Quote
