Guest NewsBot Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Hey fellas, Wondering if someone can help out with an answer on how to disable a prompt on safe mode when opening a Word doc. Some background.. Word 2010 Pro Plus on Windows 7 x86. Site is a school, only account doing this our locked down exam account. Pretty policied out, with a Word template launching on startup & running some macros. Occasionally, the following error comes up... "Word failed to start correctly last time. Starting Word in safe mode will help you to correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start Word in safe mode?" I'm not too concerned with the 'why' part of the problem...everything functions fine apart from this prompt. Just looking for a way to disable it. I've been all over- haven't been able to find much. I did see a couple things pointing towards a policy of enabling ActiveX Control Initialization (1)...that had no effect for me. Any help would be very much appreciated. View this thread Quote
