Last week an MSN tech phoned because there were so many error messages in my system. After about 40 minutes he transferred me to an ifixo tech who spent about an hour working, Since then, although I get the "Saving your settings" screen when shutting

down, none of my settings are saved. How can I make sure they are safely saved?
