Good morning everyone,

My second-hand computer (<span style="font-weight:bold;font-style:italic">Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop running Win XP Pro [sP3]</span><span style="font-weight:bold">)</span> did not come with a

<span style="font-weight:bold">backup CD</span>.  From what I have read, there are imaging programs like

<span style="font-weight:bold">Acronis</span> & <span style="font-weight:bold">Shadow Protect

</span>which can create an image of everything, <span style="font-weight:bold;font-style:italic">

including the operating system</span> onto a CD/DVD or USB flash drive which can then be used to recover the

<span style="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline">same</span> computer if it should become

<span style="font-weight:bold">completely unbootable</span>.

<span style="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline">My question(s)</span>:  Do imaging programs actually re-install everything, including the

<span style="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline">operating system</span> itself?  If not, where can I acquire a

<span style="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline">LEGITIMATE</span> WIn XP Pro SP3 backup CD to use?

<span style="font-style:italic;font-weight:bold">Thank you for your time and any info!</span>
