Phantom Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Can we say sexual tension? Have any of you ever been able to just be friends with a member of the opposite sex or do you almost always find yourself developing deeper feelings for them or vice versa? Why is it that two heterosexual people of different genders bring down suspicion of sexual activity or romantic involvement? Why is it that a room full of men feel the need to clean up their conversation when a women enters? Why is it that women can be fun loving and down the earth but feel the need to be little flirty sex kittens just because a man comes around? The fakeness makes me want to gag. Many on this board have said you cannot put men and women into a room and expect them to not interact on a romantic/sexual level. Why not? What are your personal experiences in this area? Have you ever developed feelings for one of your buddies of a different gender? Did they ever develop feelings for you? If so, was the feeling mutual or did it destroy the friendship? Quote Blah.
Chi Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 It is possible, but it is rare for one or both to not develop romantic feelings at one point or another, at least to consider the possibility. It's probably more viable to just be friends when two people of the opposite sex are not so close and they don't talk/hang out so often. Or if one of them is gay, and even then:p Quote
phreakwars Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 My best friend, of 16 years, is a female. Of course I HAVE fucked her a couple of times in the past, but, tried and true, after all these years we are still best friends. 99.9% platonic and my wife is happy with that. P.S. No such thing as 100% platonic. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

Phantom Posted November 30, 2006 Author Posted November 30, 2006 It's probably more viable to just be friends...if one of them is gay, and even then I ended up developing a crush on my gay best friend back in high school. We spent so much freaking time together and were so close it was bound to happen I suppose. Knew it would never happen, though, so I kept my feelings to myself. P.S. No such thing as 100% platonic. Agreed. No such thing to have a girl as a "friend", you have or want to nail her....or your gay. Sorry guys are shallow. What if she was really freaking ugly? Quote Blah.
phreakwars Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 What if she was really freaking ugly? We would fuck her and deny it... Possibly blame it on a controlled substance. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

eisanbt Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 My best friend is a female. We have never had and sexual relations or tensions. I've known her since I was 2 years old, she is like my sister. I love her dearly. I would never nail the bitch. Jhony5 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Have any of you ever been able to just be friends with a member of the opposite sex Only if the female is fat, ugly or both. Other than that, I will fuck her eventually. Quote i am sofa king we todd did.
hugo Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I've had a couple platonic female friends. Sadly, the wife killed both of them. snafu Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I have a few friends that are girls. What do you mean? Like Elaine on Seinfeld? The buddy hang around type? I used to know these three sisters. I dated the oldest. I shoulda dated the middle one before she got married. We were real close. Her husband worked on the slop so I would go over to her house and hang out. Did I think about banging her? yes. Did she want me to bang her? Yes. But we were to good of friends and feared it would mess up our relationship. We even slept together one time without sex. Needless to say we both didn't get any sleep. We fooled around a bit but that was it. I think about her the most I think. She lives in Palmer and I know I should get ahold of her again. My wife knows about her and her sisters and is fine with me being friends. But I just don't have the time to go hang out anymore. Ahhlee Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 One of my best friends is a male. We started out with all that sexual tension and eventually gave in and screwed. Several times, actually. But we realized we made much better friends than lovers and have been best friends ever since. We still fake flirt on occasion, but nothing ever comes of it. We share dating stories and there is no jealousy whatsoever. In fact, he thinks he has met "the one" and is probably going to get engaged in the near future. I couldn't be happier for him! Quote
fullauto Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 IT's possible, but bloody unlikely... For instance... I could be friends with any one of the females on this site... We could hang, talk, be buddies. etc... But at the end of the day, If i'm attracted to you, I'm going to want to have sex with you... Not that I would, or that I would even let that be known (unless drunk), But that and only that is 100% true... You may not feel the same way, but by the definition it is not a plutonic relationship... It may seem that way on the surface because I would not let that tention be known, but it would still be there... Me wanting to have sex with a woman, does not mean I want to be in any kind of relationship other than friends, but it would still be me wanting to have sex with them... End of story... As far as ugly/fat woman... The jury is really out on that... But, I would think that that situation would mean it is even less likely I would want to remain friends with them... That's shallow and sad, I know. But the truth is, I can provide EVERYTHING I need in this lifetime for myself, and therefore don't need another person... I have lots of male friends because we think alike, and have common goals. But that is unlikey to be the case with a woman... And unless I have a reason to be around them all the time, EG they are cute and thier beauty entertains me, or they attract HOT friends that do the same) I'm not really gonna want to spend much time with them... I actually have a bit more to clarify, but I don't want to get the words wrong and make a bunch of enemies if I haven't done so allready... Quote Liberals... manicmonday Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I don't think it's a myth at all. Most of my best long term friends in life have been men. Women are dramatic(including me) and I ending up hating them. I have found I get along better with men. What the guy feels about this? I can't say. RoyalOrleans Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 There are two types of women in the world; those that I don't want to fuck and those that I do want to fuck. Approximately ninety percent of the population of women are not fuckable or what I deem fuckable, so why not try to be their friend? At least I can get a handjob.
