Derby swept to the top of the Championship after coming from behind twice to beat 10-man Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 at the iPro Stadium on Saturday. Steve McClaren's team knew Middlesbrough's 1-0 defeat against Leeds earlier in the day had presented them with an opportunity to steal a march on their promotion rivals. Jake Buxton headed the hosts level in the 47th minute, only for Will Keane to fire the Owls back in front in the 55th minute. Derby showed their character to recover from that blow as Buxton equalised again in the 68th minute with another header before Darren Bent converted a penalty after Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood was sent off in the 75th minute for a professional foul.
