Bunny trail debates that are inspired by the original topic are not the problem IMO. It is fun when a topic takes on a mind of its own and the members join in to make one hell of a passionate debate. BUT, I think the personal character debates and accusations should end as well as the criticism of individual members non-related to the current debate.

 

All of us are here for one thing- to DEBATE. Not to have our character placed on the chopping block, not to have our photos scrutinized within an inch of our lives, and not to have accusations dished out about how we live our lives.

 

Off topic ramblings can be a blast but enough with singling out the same people over and over and over again. Let's just debate and knock off the drama and character accusations for a little while just to see how things go. Debate the person's views- not the person, their body, their appearance, their personal life, etc. NOBODY wants a surplus of attention directed towards them even if it may seem so when they are willing to offer a rebuttal to personal insults. Most might do such things only so they can resolve the issue in the hopes things can then move along. It's when the questions keep coming in an effort to provoke said person that it gets old.
