fullauto Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Try and think of how many times these amendments are not enforced, or blatently disreguarded! Read them... as they are written... and post any blatent violation of these for the rest of us to see... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Msixty Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Amendment II A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. but does it say what kind of arms? is a machine gun not covered but a handgun is, what about .50 cal. rifles being illigal in california.... this one needs some clarification, after all, back then, civillian rifles were more deadly than military rifles.... I Want My Home Defence MK19 Dammit!!! Quote Your stupidity is My weapon WARNING! my mood and mental state are strongly influenced by music and T.V./movies..... i may seem the slightest bit insane.. just don't let me watch my favorite show and or listen to my music and it will all be alright.
fullauto Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 but does it say what kind of arms? is a machine gun not covered but a handgun is, what about .50 cal. rifles being illigal in california.... this one needs some clarification, after all, back then, civillian rifles were more deadly than military rifles.... I Want My Home Defence MK19 Dammit!!! the second ammendment, the favorite of gun-nuts everywhere, is actually not telling anyone about what kind of guns to have... The obvious ramafication is that technically, a MAC-10, or .50 magnum sniper rifle is perfectly acceptable! But... and I stress BUT, what many of these same gun nuts do is fail to READ THE WHOLE AMMENDMENT ! ! The words ar as follows: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. this can go one of two ways and neither are perticularly helpful to your average gun-nut! 1. The right to bare arms will never be taken away, so long as you are part of a well regulated militia! One Exists! It's called the National Guard... Every state has one... so the average people don't need any guns! or 2. The right to bare arms will never be taken away, so long as you are part of a well regulated militia! One does not exist for the average person, and therefore No average person should be able to purchase and own certain guns, such as assault rifles and such! As with anything else in writing, it's all about the interpretation! Quote Liberals... Saving the world one semester at a time "I'm not a racist... I'm a realist! And if you don't know the difference, You're an Idiot!" -- Fullauto Present - 1. (Noun) The point that divides disappointment from hope
snafu Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 A militia is the activity of one or more citizens organized to provide defense or paramilitary service, or those engaged in such activity. The word can have five slightly different meanings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militia I am a militia. . . . . . And I use Medamucil so I'm well regulated. builder Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Dale? I thought that name was exclusive to NASCAR fans only. I wouldn't let Uncle Dale loose in a Nascar. He's a loose unit walking on two feet. If you think Bruce Willis is sharp, you'd need ten of them to take on Uncle Dale. He's a loose unit.. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
