Chapter 5

Step AWAY from Mike

 

 

It was Friday and Mike was just watching TV. Then a sudden knock at the door startled him.

 

"Who is it?!" he yelled

 

"Itz me!" Chester called from the other side of the door.

 

"Who? Im sorry, I dont remember you."

 

"Mike!! Open up!"

 

"Im sorry, who is it?"

 

"...Im here to KIDNAP YOU!! Muahahahaha"

 

"Fine, ill be right there!"

 

"Perfect!! Muahahaha!"

 

Mike opened the door. Chester grabbed Mike and pulled him outside.

 

 

"Oh no. he is here. Ahhhhh. Riiiight" Mike said sarcasticly(sp?)

 

Bandit raised her head and growled. She ran out the door.

Towards Chester! She leapt on him and started to growl bite his arm. No matter how hard Chester tried to escape, bandit kept him pinned.

 

"MIKE!!! GET HIM OFF!!! MIIIIKE!!" Chester tried getting away, but failed.

 

"Bandit!! No! Come here!! BANDIT!!"

 

Bandit walked over to Mike, and sat by him, growling. That whole evening, Chester had to nurse his arm, and stay away for Mike. Whenever he tried getting near, Bandit growled.

 

"hey, Mike! Come here a sec" Chester called. Uh oh. To close. bandit leapt up and started to charge over to chester, growling.

Well here is CHAPTER 6! YAY!! lol ^^

 

 

 

 

Oh shit!! , chester thought. IM GONNA BE DOG FOOD!! AHHHH!!

 

"BANDIT! COME HERE NOW!! BAD GIRL!! BANDIT!!", Mike cried frantically.

 

"MIKE!! PLZ!! HOLY SHIT!!", Chester cried, running for his life. To slow...not good.

 

Bandit barked and leapt on Chester. She was attacking and ripping his clothes. Chester was trying to get away. No use.

 

"Daddy!! Daaaaaadddyyyy!!" Draven came running into the room. "Doggy!" He cried happily. Bandit lifted her head and stared at Draven.

 

"draven...dont move..." Chester warned quietly. Bandit walked over Draven. She whimpered. Draven ran to Chester.

 

"Daddy! Doggy!!" he cried happily.

 

"Shh, Draven, quiet." he said as Bandit crept closer, growling.

 

"MIKE GET YOUR DAMN DOG AWAY FROM MY SON!" Chester shouted. Bandit Leapt at Chester. And yet again was a fight with bandit was winning.

 

"Daddy!! Bad Doggy!!" Draven cried.

 

Bandit growled and snapped at Draven. Draven ran and started crying. Chester shoved Bandit away and she flew accross the room. She hit the couch and crept away.

 

"Draven...itz okay, shhh" Chester tried to comfort his son. Soon he stopped crying.

 

"Im soo sorry!! Omg i dont know wht is up with her today...o god." Mike tried to apolagize for his dog's behvior.

 

"You know what? I will come when that muther fu**ing dog is behind bars!! Ill see ya later. No wait...u know, i dont when im gonna come back, that stupid fu**ing dog is gonna be GONE hen i come back." Chester shouted angerily, slamming the door behind him. Mike was stunned. he glared down at the dog with pure hatred. He picked her up and dropped her again, kicking her in the ribs.

 

"GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE! OUT OF MY LIFE!!" He shouted angerily, landing one last kick on the dog's ribs. She dashed out the open door, whimpering.

 

"What happened?" Anna asked coming in from the kitchen.

 

"Nuthin..." Mike stalked off angerily.

Mike's POV

 

It is soooo hot...ugh, Anna said our trees might burn in our little forest in the backyard. I am PRAYING they wont. Oh god..soo hot...uhh.....

 

"Mike? What happened? Last night I mean." Anna inquired.

 

"Nothin..."

 

"MIKE! Tell me NOW." she growled

 

"Fiinee..."

 

"Thank you."

 

I told her what happened last night and how i kicked bandit out.

 

"Mike...how mean! Damn, she was protecting u, she doesnt know better! Although i understand Chester being angry, tho," Melissa had heard the whole

thing and was kinda mad at him for being so rational with Bandit.

 

"Oh Mike! We have to go find her." Anna persisted

 

"NO WAY! I AM NOT HAVING THAT PUTRID DOG IN MY HOUSE!"

 

"Mike!! Calm Down!" Melissa screamed. "She was your responsibility! Dont get mad at her like that, I happen to like her and i know benji doesnt mind her! We are going to find her!" And with that she grabbed Benji went o find Bandit.

 

"Hmph....I dont care about the god damn dog."

 

"right-" Anna was interupted by frantic barking. "Oh, good! She is back. You know mike....MIKE!! MIKE HURRY QUICK!!!" Anna cried. Mike rushed to her side and gasped. The trees had caught fire. Bandit dahsed in the doggy door they forgot to lock. She tugged on Mike and Anna to get them out of the house that would soon catch fire. She dashed out of the house.

 

"Bandit!" Anna called. "Come here!"

 

Bandit was barking frantically as a car passed in the front (they couldnt see the fire) Draven crept inside without notice. Everybody had fled from the house to get help.

 

*an hour later (they had called the fire department, but they hadnt arrived yet)*

 

"DRAVEN! HE IS IN THE BURNING HOUSE!!" Chester cried, running for the house. Mike grabbed him and held him back. "I NEED MY SON OUTTA THERE! DRAVEN!!" chester screamed, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. Bandit ran into the burning house.

 

Bandit was struggling to breathe in the smoky house. She heard crying. Running upstairs to the source of the sobs. She found him in a corner crying. She grabbed him ran out of the house. When they got to the bottom of the stairs, a big peice of wood fell creating a firey barrier. There was no way out. Bandit and Draven were trapped in the quickly burning house.

Yay, a REVEIW!! lol. Here is chappie 8!!! ^^

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bandit set Draven down gently, and let a few high pitched barks. She wheezed as the smoke got thick. She pushed Draven to the floor, finding there was more air down there. She howled and tried to get someone to get Draven.

 

Window. One simple word. Window.

 

bandit ran to the unguarded window, bringing Draven with her. bandit slammed herself against the glass window about 4 times. Then it shattered. She jumped on Draven, sheilding him form the sharp hards of glass. She herself got cut by the small slivers.She grabbed draven in her mouth and put her front paws on the window pane.

 

Chester broke free of mike's strong grasp. he ran towards the window and grabbed Draven, running back to Sam and the others. He and Sam hugged and fondled their child.

 

Fire engulfed the open window before Bandit could jump out. No other windows. no openings. Nothing. Bandit whimpered and barked. No response.She could just barely see Mike and the others running away from the house. Where are they going? mike!! no, wait! Come Back! Im sorry! Come Back! thoughts were racing through bandit's mind as her savior ran off. whithout her. She was alone. She let herself colapse on the floor, waiting for the fire to take her life. I'm not wanted...

Bandit was suddenly having a hard time breathing. All this smoke was to much. But that is what Bandit wanted. She was never wanted, not by her other owner, or her savior. Mike. She missed him terribly(sp?). Even tho he kicked her and yelled a lot, she was devoted to him. She loved him with all her heart. Bandit had thought that she and Mike would be friends forever. He saved her from the pound, and the "needle". Now, just like her other owner, he abanded her. He ran off. Without her. She felt so unloved. And, most of all, she hated being alone. It burned her in the gut and made her wanna throw up. No matter how much she loved Mike, she hated him at the same time. he left her. And she would never forgive him. Never.

 

"My dog!! She's in there! Please, get her out!!"

 

Mike? It cant be true!! He does love me!!

 

"i will, miss, i will get it out."

 

it was just Anna. Just Anna. Mike didnt like her still. Did he still hate her?

All of a sudden, she felt someone grab her. Soon, she found herself on the grass. She ran to Anna, but changed her mind. She dodged Anna. She ran straight to Mike. Mike looked down at her.

 

"What? Do u want from me? God, leave me alone, god dammit!!"

 

Bandit took off running.

*CHESTER"S POV*

 

It was the 4 month anniversary of the fire. thank god no one was hurt and all their prized possesions were safe.

 

~~**RRRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNGGG**~~

 

Mike jumped at the sound of the phone and answered it.

 

"Hello?...........Oh........really.....ya, im dont think anybody lost a border Collie......no, she isnt mine...ure welcome....bye."

 

"What happened?" I asked.

 

"Oh, they asked if I knew who Bandit belonged to, I said i didnt. I dont want her again, okay?"

 

"MIKE?! YOU WHAT?!" Anna screeched from the other side of the room,"HOW COULD YOU, MIKE?! OH MY GOSH!!"

 

I glared at him. "that dog happened to save my son's frkn LIFE!! How could you abandon her like that?!" I was angry, the first time i have been mad at Mike. The last time i was, it was when they were Teenagers. A long time ago.

 

"Well, u know what? I DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOYUT THAT......that....MUTT!!" Mike yelled walking up the stairs. Anna had started to cry from pressure and anger. She hated it when Mike yelled. It was scary, even I had to admit that. He coluld really scream, if he was angry enough. And that was rare. Very rare.

Oh well.

 

"Oh, chester!! Why would he-" she was interupted by a doorbell. Anna answered it. Before u knew it, Bandit was running upstairs. There was an ASPCA officer. The officer smiled warmly.

 

"Your dog, i presume? Her tag gave us the info. We tracked u guys down. Sorry to bother you." And with that she left.

 

Chester creeped upstairs. He looked in Mike's room. Mike was standing on his bed, fear evident in his eyes.

 

"G-go away!! get! Ahh!" mike was trying desperatley to get away, but failed miserably. Bandit got up and sat next to where standing. She whimpered. He sat down next her and looked in bandit's soft brown eyes. he wrapped his arms around her and started sobbing, burying his face in the scruff of her neck.
