ShinodaBear Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 This is video game stuff so if you're not a gamer at all, this will be foreign stuff to you. It's not usual that i'm wanting a new video game. In fact, i think i only bought about 5 or so last year. But i feel as if this game in particular needs to be recognized... why? cuz i see it everywhere. I used to be video game psycho but it's died down a little bit. I follow up on the video game news often and this game has been mentioned 5000000000000 times. I know it had been worked on for over 2 years and it's FINALLY come out. All the reviews i've seen on this game have gotten very high scores. If you're an RE video game fan, you'd be surprised to hear that all reviews are say that it's the best RE game to date. Apparently it's a lot faster pace gameplay than the previous ones. So ultimately, i'm just wondering if there are any RE fans or GC owners or gamers out there who have any thoughts on this game. I havent bought it yet (because it came out a few days ago) but i'm hoping to get it soon. Quote I Smile Cuz I have no idea whats going on. Clogz Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 It appears we have alot in common ShinodaBear. I too, was once a video game freak, and of course I've really settled down now. I do still avidly keep up in game news, but when I heard the pre-release stuff about this game, I didn't think I would be impressed. A changed story line, changed zombies, and a new look along with a new camera system had all the fans in revolt. It reminded me of The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, which also had the same jive but was actually pretty good. Much to my suprise still, the game is doing well. Very well. I've concidered buying it next for my new Gamecube, but I'm still not sure yet. It does sound like a good game though. And as long as it isn't as ridiculuos as the movies, I'm on board. It sounds like a pretty good game, and it even have has a good plot. spike91232004 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Yeah I was the same way as a video game freak before I discovered the computer. I think I might rent that game sometime. Thanks for the info SB! Quote
Brkng_Th_Hbt Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Bump. I was going to make a thread. But right before I did, I thought "Maybe I should do a search" Haha. I got this game for my Gamecube last Friday. Easily a 10/10. I've put almost 19+ hours of playing into this game, and I haven't beat it yet. I like to explore and find everything, haha. But I'm on the last chapter. I'll give a short review. Graphics/Sound: The best of the best for it's generation. The texturing is fantastic. Actually, sometimes you can find an area in the game that looks almost real. Now the sound... It has everything. The music always fits the mood, the voice acting is not at all terrible, and simple things such as chickens and cows make sounds. It has Dolby Pro-Logic II... if you have a good stereo with surround sound, USE IT. 10/10 Gameplay: Probably the best aspect of the game. The gameplay is very smooth, and the combat is great. It's in a 3rd-person view. Hold R to aim, then press A to shoot. You get pistils, shotguns, rifles, .45 magnums, TMPs, and more to play with. You can upgrade all of these. Also, you can hold L to pull out your knife, and start cutting away at enemies if you like. Good if you're retarded like me and run out of bullets, haha. 10/10 Story: Nothing wrong with the story. I'll just use the summary on the back of the game. U.S. agent Leon Kennedy has been tasked to look into the abduction of the President's daughter and his investigation has led him to a mysterious location in Europe. As Leon encounters unimaginable horrors, he must find out what is behind the terror. 9/10 Pros: Great graphic, great gameplay and sound, nice story, awesome level designs, edge-of-your-seat combat, realistic looking characters. Great weapons and items. Cons: Not very much. The game is a bit on the short side... but the replay value makes up for that. Also, Ashley screaming "Help Leon!" over and over is a bit annoying, as well as the merchants repeating the same thing over and over. Yes, a crappy review... but at least I tried. Overall, it's a 10/10 game for me.. maybe a 9.5/10. Trust me, this game is yummy. Once I'm done with the game, I'm going to go on a "Handgun Only" mission. Cloud Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 lol! Some ppl on here have a lot in common with everyone! I once was a game freak... But it's died down, although I still love them to bits I haven't played them much recently! But I had RE4 and it is so good, if your a fan get it defos, the old stuff is there (new costumes when u complete and the scares) and it is one of the best in my opinion! Nothing better than killing someone with your knife though! Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/5db114ce5078c1bc868260c3094bb843.jpg
