what other LPF members do u think shld be elite?

i dont think so- i mean, why should we have more elites? its like you guys think "aww, they're a good member blah blah blah... elite!" why? i think the one year thing could work perfectly well. and not all members who've been here a year have to be elite-obviously. i dont really see the need for any more elites than we have. maybe like a handful more. ugh. whatever. i'm horrible at getting my point across.

I like the one year thing except for keep the people who are already elite. I do think we shouldtake all the people who are unactive out of the elite status. I mean some of them only stayed for 6 months or something and haven't been back since. Yeah, they helped the site when it started, but they obviously couldn't care anymore.

the year thing wouldn't really work tho. cuz when elite was implemented almost every single person hadn't been here for a year. i haven't even been here for a year lol. and i've been elite since.. april-ish

Yeah, you me and misery all became elite on April 30, 2005 I believe.

 

Also, on October 16, 2005, Qwest removed the elite status of 12 members which had not been active for 3 months or more. [misery being one of them XD] So dont think we arent keeping some watch over our elites.

But without them here at the point in time they were around, we may not have had the LPF we have today

But still, I think as Elites they are supposed to be active members who continueally contribute to the site. But maybe I just think of it wrong. I'm talking about the members who don't even know they're Elite because they don't come here and haven't since they made Elites [almost getting to be a year ago!].

 

Edit: Sry, I didn't notice he did delete those people. Most of the ones I didn't think should be there are in fact gone.....still, I like the idea of demoting people who leave sorta but also don't like it cause with people like misery, etc.

Marianne, I sure have agreed with you a lot of times since I've joined LPF

 

I think member's elite status should be taken if they haven't been active in a long time. It helps keep the flow of elite members so there wont be too many. A few members get elite status, then a few get that status taken away from lack of activity and involvment in the forum.

i mean the whole point of us being elite was that we some how contributed in making lpf what it is today, just because they have some excuse to not be around doesnt mean they didn't previously contribute to the forums so if they get it they deserve to keep it.

Not to ride on whoever's in charge of all this, but I think there should be another sweep to demote alll the elite members who aren't active anymore, since there's quite a few of them. But I don't think it should be as simple as last time.. there should be a check how many posts people have made in the last while or something like that.. because there's a few elite members who come back and post maybe once every 2 months, and I don't think people who do that are very deserving of the title anymore.

Again, I didn't mean offense to anybody, those are just my thoughts on the situation. There are a few members that don't post anything that are still elite.. the reason these people were made elite was for contributing positively to the site one way or another, but some people aren't contributing at all anymore.
