Another Road to Cross........

 

 

Another day goes past; the sun has gone to sleep,

Another day goes past; a massacre in the headlines.

Another day goes past; another lost soul at sea finds peace,

Another day goes past; another death.

Another day goes past; another good catch for the sea lords,

Another day goes past; a poltergeist haunts a family.

 

Another day awakens; the sun peeps its head through the hills,

Another day awakens; the alarms go off in every house.

Another day awakens; the adults buy their coffee for the day ahead,

Another day awakens; the roosters awake their owners.

Another day awakens; the sun reveals a suffering planet,

Another day awakens; more deaths to get by with.

 

Another path to cross, before the end of the line,

Another day, to live.

Another night, to sleep through,

Another phone call, to call back.

Another company to sue.

Another detention to give out.

It's just another road to cross, from where I'm standing.
