twistedxxfate Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 My newest poem. I might put some of my others. This is waaay different from what I usually write though. Hope you like it all the same. Critique appreciated. (Your Title Here) So stereos hum into the starry moonlight with us on our backsides; Music is poetry to the ears and mind and like hands, we intertwine. We fit each other, so. The air between us is silent but our hearts are singing, "Hallelujah, hallelujah" and we rock our heads in beat to the old love songs played in the stereo tonight. Notes across the glistening sky. There's something familiar about this place: the music playing, the sky twinkling, and I think I visited this place before, yes, in my dreams each night. It is the same so why is it different? This is more than a dream, so much more. I feel as if each sound in the song is a piece of my heart and with each note my heart grows fonder for you, so I turn up the volume. Now all I hear is the music blasting and our love intertwined. Our hearts are singing each other's names in the moonlight and everything else is drowned out and your title goes here because you are the love song of my life. Quote waiting on a sunday afternoon.
