Friðbjörn Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 ah I see...well London is more international than most english towns and cities, so there actually is probably a lot of dangerous people, like in the big american cities but yeah have fun there lol Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
Sygy Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 omg how long are you in londinium for? you must go to camden town and soho and tottenham court road!!! omg i hope your having fun!!!! london is th best place in the world btw Quote iam mors sola fuga est [broken External Image]:http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/9977/n76430001741552817731hb2.jpg
twilightcrimson7 Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 Thank you jeezy!! Yeah, I see the diversity, and the friendliness!! Oh yeah, Chicago is has rather high crime ratings... especially in the ghetto, apparently. I've never been there fortunatly....(that i remember, anyway) Thank you!! I absolutely love it so far! It does seem much nicer then where I live. Right now there's someone yelling outside <3 I mean, you can find that anywhere in Chicago, but they have an accent!! *giggle* I love the accent here. I'm sure we sound like retards though. Oh I was going to ask my stepdad about camden... I want to do some shopping *even though its expensive here... cause were used to crappy quality shit made from a third world country and child labor [/self bashing] http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/62a6dc7391530c999af029855cef9811.jpg That's me taking a picture of the statue dude. Awesome. We also saw a bleeding stork/pelican that had to be at least four feet tall!! I wanted to give it a big hug and heal its wound. It was precious.</3 It broke my heart to see it in pain. I swear. We ate at the italian restaurant across from us and they started playing music like "har har, we shot those british till they ran away! Hail the good 'ol Mississippi!" we were like wtf? "yeah, they must have the same records we do, cause we listen to this stuff allll the time at home." it was so strange. The either LIKE american patriotic songs from the revolution, or they were playing music for us cause we're american. Either way, it was uncomfortable/amusing. Anyway.. .should go to bed soon, full day ahead and my feet hurt! Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/caa111db447cb1d28d713cebad979c8d.png ...:away and onward:...
Sygy Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 lol, do go to camden its the best me and my mates hang there every weekend. its really cool you would be able to buy vintage stuff there for cheap well atleast a 100 but thats cheap vintage-wise. Erm, you should go to the tate and the NPG theyre uber cool. about chicargo having a higher crime rate thats probably bc there are more peeps there but i wouldnt say london is safe at all, ive been mugged over 10 times and have almost been raped twice so meh!!! lol, you really should go to southbank aswell if u like people standing therer pretending to be statues. twilightcrimson7 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 I convinced my step dad to take us to camden XD I went to the tate museum today, awesome, awesome! I saw one of my favorite painter's works, Francis Bacon. Humm... I suppose you're right, though downtown chicago is really actually pretty safe. Chicago is an immense city though. So is london, I suppose, if you count the areas around it. So crime really depends on where you are. I know south side in chitown is really bad. Also, it depends on where you go, what time, who you're with, etc etc... Iccchhh sorry to hear that... do be more careful if you can!! I'll take it more seriously.... Sygy Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 so did u enjoy camden? i think its rather dandy! i hope u went into cyber dog! tate is rather lovely did u go to the old one or the new one. at the old one they once had this party for the william blake exhibition and you were told to come dressed up as fairies and as angels! the tate modern however is dandy is another sense, they use to have this giant slide and a huge sun! twilightcrimson7 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Camden was fucking amazing. I want to eat it!!! ughgahldfadfad <3333333333 I took plenty of pictures and bought many things. *cries tears of joy* WILLIAM BLAKE????? I LOVE HIM!!! why oh why did I miss that! Can this place get anymore awesome??? Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/caa111db447cb1d28d713cebad979c8d.png ...:away and onward:...
Sygy Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 pls put them up! yeah blake amazing man! finally ive found some one else who likes him! FINALLY!! well blake lived a few roads away from me in battersea! and if u go somewhere (cant remember where sorrY) but there is a blue sign and it says that there was the spot where blake saw his angels hanging out of his windows its amazing! just a little side note, if u go to the tower of london take a little detour to Seething Lane (roads here have funny names bc its named after the history of the street so eg if a lot of polist people live on a road it would be named warsaw street. Seething lane was where people got sentenced to hang so they where rather angry) But anyways, on that lane there is a cemetary to dead sailors lost at sea, its really spooky and gothic and it has a skull on the gate way! if ur into that whole gothic spooky thing, but yeah!! its beautiful! twilightcrimson7 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 I will definately post them up here when I get them developed ;D Though I did a STUPID STUPID thing and I opened my camera before I rolled the film so some of the pictures (HOPEFULLY NOT ALL) were exposed... and I think that roll had the camden pictures on it. I'm going to die if they don't develop properly! Yesss! Last year we studied british lit, and I loved his poems and art. Anne Rice mentioned him/was inspired by him, AND I've been reading up on Alchemy which refers to him a lot. He was just simply amazing! Now I'm dissapointed I didn't see your message in time, we already went to the tower (earflajvfaoifjadh). Next time I will definitely check it out I feel like you're my own personal virtual tour guide! <3 Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/caa111db447cb1d28d713cebad979c8d.png ...:away and onward:...
Sygy Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Hahaha, probably am, i love london i should probably be one of those tour guides on the tops of those buses! anyways, my next bit off advice would be to go to trafagur square and cut through st. james park to get a more scenic route to buckingham palace, u've probably already been there though! erm, may i strongly recommend going to leister square bc they're constantly film preimeires happening there, also i think that this weekend they were having free previews of all the west end shows there, like the lord of the rings opera and stuff! if u want a nice peaceful day then may i recommend getting a train to hampton court! you can see where henry the eight lived and they still have the haunted maze which is haunting by his second wive anne bolyen which he killed! thats always fun! twilightcrimson7 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Ohh yes we've been to trafalgar square... at least part of it. I wanted to explore it more, but we had somewhere else to be i guess. *shrug* We definitely went through st. james park it was beautiful... and we saw buckinham Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions! I think we're pretty booked until we leave though ;_____; I'm so hiring you next time I come here! Dark Angel Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 *stumbles back in* Wow, it really has been a long time since I've been on here and talked to you. Anyways, what've you been up to? Visiting campuses? (sorry, I only skimmed some of the posts, my attention span has greatly shortened since last time) Quote [broken External Image]:http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y94/fantasyhorse/NnyBanner2.gif I'm sorry I don't subcomb myself to your fashion If life were simple, what'd be the point of it? woodyloveslinkin Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Merchant of Venice??? Meh, go see Antony and Cleopatra or Othello, they are the true tragedies. I know this because in past years I have been forced to witness/read such plays. Try my Shakespeare knowledge: > Romeo & Juliet > Much Ado About Nothing > As You Like It > Hamlet > MacBeth > Othello > The Tempest > Antony and Cleopatra > A Midsummer's Night Dream > The Merchant of Venice Hey Heather! What's been happening? Lol. *tackle hugs* Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
