Hey Twi! How the heck are ya??? Just perused your 'rant' *s******s* and I laughed out loud. Your Mum sounds like every mother I know so take heart in the fact, it's apparently passed on inherently I think, I'll never know, but it's common, trust me. On a funnier note your grandma lives in a trailer? *lol* Trust me to pick that one out. *Lol x2 & shakes head* Again, take heart. I myself spent the first few months of my life in one... which in some respects explains a lot. Erm, enough about that, needless to say, when ppl call me a 'desert hick' (ask Jammer) it's actually true. *rotfl*

Anyhoo, just had to drop in and say howdy. BTW, love the snake picky. More guts than me that's for sure. Personally, I like the physical feel of snakes (they're so amazingly soft! But it's not like I'm about to cuddle up to one in any hurry) but in RL, snakes are like politicians. Only good snake is a dead snake. Oh, and the ones you get in the bag of Allens lollies. Hi all! sorry I cant comment of your xangas, or my compie'll freeze ;__; but I read 'em!

 

today ROCKED!

 

I got up early and Tim drove me to west campus. I didn't know whwre to go, but I saw ashley so I decided to stalk her. then we both saw alex and we sat with her until we saw Matas, Kasia and the others. then Daisey, Ace, and Peter came. sooner or later, we left, and we we chatted and stuff. when we got there, Naperville was weird. well, I was never there before, so yah ^^

 

it was dreary outside. cloudy and cold. but the kilns were going soon enough and we got to work. a long story shrt, I worked my ass off, and had alot of fun hanging out my my art class. I burnt my face in the kiln tho. I spent too long getting a peice out and Its all scotched and it looks like I got sunburnt =o=

 

its was GREAT tho. I had so much fun ^___^ now here are the PICTURES of my crap!!!

Hey, Twi, me again. Had to post feedback on your pics. I took some pottery/ceramics classes at TAFE and Uni a few years back, so I can relate to the experience. There's nothing like watchin' something you build with your own two hands emerge from the fire (kiln in this case) as something completely new... just awesome. I loved using buff raku clay, the dark grainy clay, and using a turqouise crackle glaze, similar to a few of what you look to have used. Taking it out at temperature and dumping the piece into an insulated bucket of sawdust then dunking it in water... fan-freakin-tastic... the colours we used to get, all these coppers and deep, almost pearlesque greens... *sigh* Man, listen to me, sound like a damn fanatic or something. It was a few years ago now. One of my best friends who I used to share a place with and met at TAFE met her partner at a kiln party at Univerity, that was a fun weekend that was! *laughs* If I knew where my pix were I'd post some, they're scarily (s/p?) not that dissimilar to some of yours, which, by the way, I found quite beautiful. Especially the second pic. Kinds reminds me of the planet earth, just, hollowed out, in a sense... *laughs stupidly* Oh yeah, nice pic of Shane too, sweety. Love cats.

Anyway, well done. As for the 'heat-flash' burn, try using some 'after sun' creme, can get it at most Chemists, here at least. It's full of Aloe Vera, best thing for sunburn, too. Cool. Hope that helps!

WOW! What can I say about your ceramics stuff?!?! They're awesome! When you said that it took you a couple of days and a lot of work to make them, I thought you was only making small ones. Those are massive and they're so... EVEN all around! Perfect shape *Thinks to my pots I did for COLLEGE art and how wonkified and terrible they were* haha. They barely stood alone! Damn, you have amazing artist talents =P Nice glaze as well! Well done on them!

Now for SATURDAY's update!!

woo hoo I friking woke up at 8 to go to the fricking orthodonist lol.

I had to endure my mom for a few minutes *whine* the ortho but some gum crap on my teeth to make a mold..it was quite uncomfortable... =\

later, we left to go back home...we sat on the stoop till 11 watching this guy water his lawn while STTING down, lmao...dad's like "Might has well take the lay-z boy outside" lmao.

at 11 we were supposed to meet Fred Mayer of the nature center about grandpa's tree.. after that, me, uncle todd, aunt michelle,a nd dad went to lunch. cookies called me to tell me he couldn't go! ;'( grounded again. darn

well, I went home and 2 o clock rolled around...so I went to the movies with alex and nikki. STAR WARS III WAS AWE-FRICKIN-SOME..hehehe we got 2 rows frim the very front so it was like, HUGE. heheh.

afterwords, we all went back to alex's and went to the park and just did waky stuff and talked. we each tried climbing the tube slide from the inside, lmao, that was great fun XDD we're so weird. then we just layed in the grass and talked. we walked back and went on alex portch to talk more, lol. dad picked me up and nowe went to portilloes
