Thank you! It was less dramatic then I thought it would be. But here's a funny story. On the way to rehearsal (which is directly before the ceremony) I was stuck behind a funeral procession, so I was a whole half an hour late! The row captain seated me next to wakana and nicole. Everyone around me had 5.0 sashes. I found that curious, but didn't it. (5.o sashes are like bling you wear with your gown to show you've gotten a gpa of 5.0 or higher. All during school, the 5.o students had like, banquets and stuff. I wasn't invited because I had a 4.9769. WTF. That was only after 7 semesters though. I finished 8 semesters and earned a 5.0, so needless to say, i was bitter) So RIGHT before the ceremony, nikhil comments, "why are you sitting in the 5.0 section" and I start freaking out, cause if i get called up there with the group of 5.o's and I don't have the sash, I'm going to look like an idiot. So I take my cursed high heels off and run to find mr. levine. He tells me he seated me in the right place, and even shows me the section chart. I tell him I have a 4.9 something and will have a 5.o after the last semester. He says, "oh, well then you should have a sash" and so we run into the teachers room and gives me one. I run out screaming "JUSTICE." and that's how I graduated. xDDDDD Well, not really, it was a whole hour of waiting for people to graduate and then I got a pretty medal when I was on stage.

 

Plus I got lots of flowers

 

So I'm hoping to catch up with people. I know fribby has graduated, how did that go? Who else has graduated?

WAHHH! I'm getting excited! In the last 24 hours, when I thought there was no hope at all, I scheduled two interviews! One is for Best Buy in Schaumburg on thursday, and the other is an insurance office in Pallos hills (how the fuck did I get THAT interview???)

I'm really kind of nervous, because my first ever job interview is at an insurance firm. I'm not sure they know I can work only two months, because they said they are going to train me to be a manager and stuff. o___O; Umm, we'll see tomorrow I guess, right? I mean, it's not the end-all-be-all of things. I can say no (if they even hire me) Pallos Hills is a long drive... I've never even heard of Pallos Hills, but the pay might be better than best buy, and the experience might help me out for a college job. *sigh*

I guess I'll just be myself. and look fancy xD

But I'm excited becauuuuuuse:

If I get a job, I have an excuse to miss a few days of our vacation. Why? because our vacation was scheduled DURING LOLLAPALOOOOOOOZAAAAA! *rips out hair*

I'd be able to go august 1st, and I'd love that (Radiohead rocks) but what I REALLY want is NINE INCH NAILS. Like, so bad.

I'm excited because if I get either of these jobs, I'll have money, and an excuse to "unfortunately miss the first couple days of vacation because i have to work" but not really cause I want to go to lolla!

 

MAUAUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Yeah! Lolla is a three day gig. The first day the headliner is Radiohead, the second day is Rage against the machine, and the third day is NIN

Even so... I feel like, you know, the place isn't in its prime. Lpf. We've discussed this many times before, and I've given up lamenting the loss of many great members and friends, because that's just a waste of time. I don't feel as attached to it anymore, therefore, I don't think I'd do the best job I could as a mod.I didn't mean that to come out cold. I still love LPF But... I don't know, I think the opportunity has passed me already...

Plus, I don't think a lot of the members here would respect me or enjoy my being a mod, and I don't blame them.

 

But you know, I really appreciate your support. You'd be a hella awesome mod yourself. Much better than I. Hell, why aren't you? You're not even Elite. That's just a sin.

yeah true, it's kind of in decline now...it's a bit sad

maybe...but I mean if you're here to stay now you can earn that right, and the support from the members that are here now

plus I mean it doesn't really need that anyway. people didnt know Victim, all of a sudden she was made mod, and everyone slowly accepted it because she was the right choice

haha thanks. I actually was mod for a while, back in 2006

then I left lpf and gave up my position. I'm not elite, but by choice. I don't want to play any hierarchy games. either people accept me for me or not, I'm not gonna resort to some color to show I'm a person...

Well today I went shopping at woodfield with emily, and we got excited over our favorite stores and such. I broke down and wound up spending some of my graduation money. *shrug*

I got two tank tops, some tea and a new tea cup that is SEXY. Seriously, Teavana (tea +NIRVANA) IT'S TRUE, it is paradise there. So many exotic and finely made teas. *drool*

Also, I got Sexy Peel, which is handmade soap. It's lemony One last thing, I got a groovy detective hat. I just might have to take pictures. It's my official driving hat now.

 

Oh, and giddily, we ran into the Godiva chocolatier (oooh, fancy) and got ourselves a treat. I got some raspberries in a dark chocolate cup, it was heaven. We had to sit down to eat because the flavor was so intense!

So just when I was getting into shopping like the teenage girl I was, cutting loose with money, emily had me check the time and it was FIVE THIRTY, and I had the interview at six. We ran across the mall and drove like mad to get to best buy, I changed into slacks in the car, lol, and I was just in time. I was really hoping the interviewer was an old person or a lady, because I really would be so nervous if it was a young, cute guy. I got a young, bland, standoffish guy, and the only thing he says to me is about my college, in august, which he saw in the resume I handed him. They had no temporary openings, so we had to stop the "interview" there. Wow. lol, I got all nervous for nothing. I wasn't that dissapointed, actually, but that does make me feel worse about spending money now. Oh well, I just applied to few more places right now.

 

Well, when I got home, I sucked it up and asked mom if I could cut into our vacation time to go to Lollapalooza, and she actually took it way better than I thought she would. She was disappointed, but she said it was fine. :D:D:D Made me really happy, because now I don't have to be sneaky. And while I'm good at it (still doesn't know I went to Projekt revolution) I don't like being that way.

 

I just have to convince my friends to go with. :O

 

Tomorrow I'm going to dinner with Liz, because we both want to try Thai food. Well, I do, she already has and said it was good. Plus, afterwards, we're going to hookah. Yeah, I know I shouldn't have tobbaco with my asthma and all, but I just want to try it out because there's a charming elegance about it, a mysterious ambiance that I would love to savor.

 

Despite the best buy let down, I'm feeling pretty damn good, and I hope this weekend continues to be awesome <3
