lol, sorry, always wanted to use that quote..but off the spamness and onto topic..

 

i haven't really noticed the flame wars...partly because i only read topics that have an interesting title, and reply when it's important..but i have been aware of the wars. I think that anyone who participated should at least get a 3 day suspension...not just the people it was about..but everyone, that way people don't think they can do things under the radar (oooh palindrome :thumbsup: )

 

I for one am trying to avoid member vs member wars, so i am requesting that "Hyper's sig shop" in the fan art thread is closed or deleted, because i do not want to compete with misery for sig making.

 

It did surprise me however to know that the mods have had trouble as well, but after thinking about it...it wouldn't be normal if all the mods got along well..there needs to be diversity, hence the turbulence between the mods.

 

I hope that this forum stays alive, because if it doesn't, i will be severely bored when counter-strike gets boring, lol, but not only that, it's just a great place, and to see it go down the hole would be such a shame.

I'm totally agree, ShinodaBear. Alot of the stuff is way uncalled for and so....1st gradeish. I think it makes it look very unwelcoming to new members. As for the rules, I'll stop spamming, I don't want to be banned.

Like those who have posted before me, I agree with you Shinoda Bear. I have seen the downfall beginning on LPF. Good members leaving, others battling it out. I really don't see why people have favorites and enemies ON A FORUM! Everyone here are just people from all over the world; don't take one thing they say so badly. I really don't want to this place go down. It's like a home to me, and everyone here is like family to me (I'm not just saying that to sound corny, you guys are really nice, and you're the best.).

 

About spam. I think a lot of new members (and some old ones too) either do not know the rules or do not respect them. I'm not sure if I am correct, but I consider posts that are random, off-topic, and hard to understand (not using good English whatsoever) spam. All members need to try their hardest not to spam. I know i may have spammed before, and I am sorry. But I usually keep spam to a minimum on my part.

 

Mods. I'm not sure what you guys have problems with eachother or why some mods have a problem with the site. Most of the mods do a pretty good job, I think. They do need to become a little more strict though. As for the one's who are never around, I don't know why. If I had an important job like mod, I would try to be around as much as possible. Now, they may have good reason, but still. Linkinparkbabe87 is probably around the least, and when she is, I never see her "moderating." Vero, she is a great person. Kind heart, fun to get to know. I'm not sure how she is as a mod though. She tends to just be a great friend rather than a mod. Most of the other mods I think do a great job. They all could be around a little more though. Sorry for any bashing I did there.

 

So, people, just respect everyone, and try to keep LPF a good place to be.

I don't completely agree with what ShinodaBear said. All of these are things you have to expect when a forum grows. It sucks, but that's life.

 

We have over 3000 members here on LPF. You have to expect that some of them are not going to be particularily fond of each other. You have to expect fights to break out, and, unfortunately, expect spam.

 

I'm not saying this is good for the forum, I'm just saying these are growing pains. Once a forum gets big you are going to see these things, like it or not.

I never really took into consideration the changes that have been going on. I fee lousy as well as ignorant and rude. I feel bad for contributing to arguemnts and spam threads. I knew that i shouldn't have, but like I said, I failed to notice the changes. I didn't realize I was going donw with the site. SV is right, though, the site will still be my refuge, and I don't think that will ever change. So here's my apology... I will resolve to using PM's in the future, and help set an example.

My main worry is that people won't listen to me. But I still have to try, right? Right. So I'm gunna say THANK YOU ShinodaBear, Clogz, and a bunch of other mature members that have set an example and tried to turn our "slump" around!

I've seen this happen to forums before, it's not nice at all; people fall out cos someone mentions.... well the obvious. Then the forum falls apart.

I don't want to see that happen here, I've made friends on here, and now to see that people are leaving, maybe forever (Azem) is incredibly saddening.

I know I'm a nOOb, and I'm probably going to get ignored or flamed for saying this but when I joined here it was an incredibly nice place, always made me smile, even when I was suicidaly depressed. That was only a few months ago, I don't know how long the fighting has been going on for, but if it's got so out of control that people are leaving; it really brings me down.

I haven't been posting properly for a few weeks now, been busy with other things, but I have noticed all this stuff going on, and it really has brought me down. Call me sad or whatever, but if people on here are fighting it depresses me, along with some of the stuff going on in my life as well...

I know people don't always see eye to eye, I've got scars because of it, but if you can't sort it out in a half decent manner then don't bother, talk on MSN, or AIM or whatever you use... don't cause an argument on here thats going to cause a load of agro, and end up in bannings.

So what I'm trying to say is: don't let this place fall apart, I love it here. It's almost like a home away from home, I can come here and feel cared for, maybe even respected. I don't want to lose that, and I'm sure you don't either.

I think our MODs are great. Just like you still love the site. They are human, just like us. anyways, they set an exmple for me. It seems not the case for you though. Oh well. No biggie
