Uhhh I have a question' date=' why do people get into fights over bands? There was that thing in the good charlotte thread, then there’s one here and I cant remember but I think there was one in the simple plan thread. Different bands HAVE DIFFRENT SOUNDS. It dont get why people get into fights over the fact that in bring me to life, they had that dude raping, and now they have jumped to the conclusion that Evanescence sounds EXACTLY like Linkin park or even Bjork. So their lyrics are similar but they come from a different perspective, and I dont even see the similarity in the bands. I like evanescence, and I dont really give a damn about what people say, but try listening to some of their older stuff, and maybe even the newer stuff- you will hear a difference between both bands. There is no point in telling some one that you hate one of their favorite artist, cause face it they wont follow you, they’ll stand up in what they believe and what they like. Evanescence is tied with Billy Talent as my second favorite band, after LP of course!

haha i like both Evanescence AND Nightwish, both 1 of my top 10 bands. I think they are very different, and both good in their own way. no point in fighting about someones opinion, their personal, and personal means individual so different for e-v-e-r-y person.

yeah,well u say ppl have different opinions...it's true but sorry to say this i have to say,some of us should accept the fact that other bands are better...it's like i would say linkin park is better than metallica...now come on;even if lp are my fav band i have to admit some things and one of those things is to evaluate them

and since it's the appropriate thread i would say-u know that lp wants to be in 10 or 15 years just like U2??well,i think they'll make it...cause they have quality music,they have lyrics that hit your soul..and they have creativity

sorry if i said this but i really wanted to clear out that comparation with nightwish...i'm not a big fan of them but i love their music....it's a good music with good lyrics...they are good at what they do...it's one of the best goth-rock bands in finland and in some other countries...that's all from here

some things u just can't compare since there too different. campare amy to mike. u can try but it will always come out unfair since one is male and one is female. somethings that amy can do are just impossable for mike and vise versa. it all comes down to taste.

I dont think there are bands that are BETTER. I think some bands just appeal more to people than others. and to different people appeal different bands.
