after they toured with green day in the USA everyone knows them and they get teenie fans....

i like their cds....but they arent a good live band

 

True about Green Day and all. But MCR is some what okay. (I'm seeing the live September 15! ) Frank is killer live. He's all over the stage (Both walking and laying and doing stuff.) Atleast now they all go on stage each night clean. No beer or drugs in their systems.

 

And both CDs indeed are very good. I seem to like bullets more that three cheers.

HISTORY CAN REPEAT ITSELF

 

"Despite the Greeks' smashing victory at Salamis, the fighting wasn't over. The very next year, the Persians and Greeks clashed again. This time, the result had a more lasting effect. For the first time in the wars, the Greeks and Persians had almost equal troop numbers. Also, Spartan and Athenian fought side by side. In the Battle of Plataea, the Greeks again proved their military superiority, and the Persians retreated for good. How did they do it? How did the Greeks win so many tremendously important battles with so few men?

 

First and foremost, they had the inherent advantage of the defender: They were fighting to protect their homes and their way of life. History is full of examples like this, of a group of people willing to die to the last man to defend their homeland. The Persian soldiers, many of them mercenaries (who served only for a salary), were far from home, spoke a different language than the men who were fighting right next to them, and were afraid to admit such things as their not being able to swim (which became a big problem when, as at the Battle of Salamis, their ships suddenly started sinking).

 

Secondly, the Greeks proved that they were better soldiers than their Persian counterparts. They were better trained, and they were better skilled.

 

Thirdly, the Greeks effectively used the element of surprise. By doing the unexpected, the Greeks seized the initiative away from the Persians, who were the attackers and thought they had the initiative. By keeping the Persians guessing, the Greeks kept the upper hand.

 

Had Darius or Xerxes won any of these historic battles, the future of Greece and the immediate present of Western civilization might have been very different."

 

We know that was super long and we love you for reading it. You see, we like learning about underdogs. That is how we grew up. We have had to fight the entire time. Now we feel that it is very important to continue this battle. This fight. This all out war.

 

We are so blessed to feel like we have you guys alongside us in this fight. Let’s look at ourselves as the Greeks. We do not have the army that some of these other artists we are up against have. We have ourselves and you guys. That is how this whole crazy ride has been, and we would not want it any other way ever. We also want to be part of the future. We think that it is time to really fight the good fight. Let's win. All of us.

I'm really amazed by the number of people who actually like this band. I'm sooo used to a different scene then most of you guys. They're a mockery to the stuff I listen to... and go see every weekend. I mean I listen to a variety of music, but talent is definately a priority(sp).

I am freaking speachless...The concert last night rocked. I got there at 5 and waited in line.for like an hour. But my aunt was complaining about the rain so some man gave her his umbrella and told us to move up front with them. So we made convo with his friend. So then at 5:30 they started letting us into the area. and we waited in line. at first we were in the back so i remembered i was that same girl we were talking to she told us if anything just to be like that we know her and to cut with them. so we did. we were like the 10th people to get frisked. i ran to the front of the floor.. i had front row center. reggie and the full effect were pretty good. alkline trio was awsome. but mcr ripped that place apart. gerard would spank his ass. he put his hand down his pants. when he's say " clean me off im so dirty babe" he'd act very sexual. he kept making us say " fuck yea" and i made eye contact with him twice. this one time when frankie was talking to the dude with big hair ( it was pretty quiet cause gerard was talking to the audience) i scream " i love you frank" and he looked into the audience and smiled <3. then us nj kids are spoiled rotten by mcr so when they played the last song we were chanting for an encore and they came out and played 'vampires will never hurt you' and ' im not ok ( im promise ).. hmmmm evil things i did.....elbowed some bitch in the stomach cause she kept pushing me out of her way. i dug my nails into her arm too cause she kept waving her arm in my face. ehhh.... it was just an awsome night.....oh and i kept the orange wrist band ....i still have it on.

 

p.s. gerard was like " we never ever ever ever ever ever ever do this on tour but we're gunna play a new song.." it was awsome i think you all will like it.

Ah forgot to add a minor detail. The girl we were talking to made friends with a guy from the bronx named louis. He protected me and that girls cousin. She put his arm around me and had his wet self all over my ass... =]....he was wet cause he was there since 8am waiting in te cold rain.
