I wear black clothing and boots. I may look a little pale but I am not bad on the inside. When I came over to my friend, she said "you look dead." I'm sick and tired of people telling me that I'm goth. Even my family don't like it. The only people that like it is 1 friend that dresses like me and my parents. I just wanna stop being labeled by some of my family and people at my school. In my head I just say: "F**k em. Your not my body. How come you tell me how to dress?"

lmao. labels are shit. i was labeled as goth at the beginning of my freshman year in highschool. just because i had a shitload of black shirts and a bunch of black jeans. not my fault lmao. all of my clothes were given to me by random relatives, they just happened to be black haha. now i'm labeled as a skater. which is somewhat true, because i do skate, and i wear the faded jeans, a comy teeshirt, and comfy ass skate shoes. only problem i have with it is that apparently skaters = stoners/smokers. and i don't smoke. and it pisses me off when people try to bum cigarettes off me lmao. all i can say is just ignore em, or scare em. i got buff between 9th and 10th grade and people stopped givin me shit. but still labeled me. but they were afraid, and never gave me shit about it lmao.

lol, my whole social class thinks I'm a stoner. I said I was going to the bathroom and was gone for like 10 minutes. I was taking a walk outside, so when I was coming back inside, the window was opened an I had a cough. So I walked into my social class and Carlye looked at my eyes really carefully, and said 'Yep, he's stoned.' So that's how that worked out. It probably doesn't help that I talk about times when I get wasted during social.. oh well. It's actually kind of funny. (If this sounds familiar it's because it was in my journal as well a while ago.)

 

My friends also say I'm a goth because of my taste of music, lol. I don't dress like a goth or anything, it's just kind of an ongoing joke. Oh well, doesn't bother me

Just don't listen to what they say. You should be able to wear whatever you want. So if it annoys them, oh well, it's their problem. They probably don't have much to think about if they let themselves be bothered by what clothes someone wears.

I'm a little labeled myself, but I don't mind because my friends just kinda do it for fun. I mean, they call me "dread" even though I'm not dread at all lol (you know, dreads are supposed to be the people with dreadlocks in the hair and stuff like that, and I don't have any dreadlocks... but in Portugal, young people started naming people with baggy clothes "dreads", so it kinda lost the original meaning for most people). I mean, I suppose I'm a little dread in this new meaning people give the word now I wear baggy clothes most of the time. One of my best friends says I dress like a 7th grade kid, and other ones mock me by saying I should go to a soap opera that's currently airing here where there are 2 groups of young people at a school that don't get along, the dreads and the preppies. They say they should hire me to go to the dread group U_U They also kinda mock me about my musical taste, but meh, I don't mind. I like what I like, so it really doesn't bother me. Most people also think I'm a stoner for some reason lol Well, all this really amuses me instead of bothering me. My best friend also wears some unusual clothes, like real hippie style and stuff lol And I make fun of it sometimes, but she knows it's all good, it would never cross my mind to make fun of it for real or to tell her to stop wearing it because it bothers me. I love her for who she is, not for what she wears, and I'm totally ok with it.

Bottom line: just don't care if they don't like your clothes. You are who are, and you wear what you want, not what they want. Just keep being yourself!

Exactly, they CAN'T tell you how to dress. Don't let them tell you otherwise. At least you're not following the crowd and you're just being yourself. That's what it's all about. If they can't accept you for who you are, they're certainly not worth your time. Even your family judge you?! Sheesh. You should have a talk with them, tell them you don't like being labelled by your own family. You get enough of it at school and it doesn't change the way you are. It's lame how people judge on the outside by something materialistic as clothes. Very petty. Ignore the tards and continue being who you are =P

 

I wouldn't be surprised if people labelled me a "poser". No wait, apparantly, it's spelt "POSEUR" now ^.^ Yeah. They probably don't even know the meaning of the word, but that's how small minded people are =) Sometimes I'm dressed really girly, and some other times, I'm dressed more baggy and "punk" like *Punk is nice lol. I don't see why people don't like it. You can customise it to your own style*. My clothes are inconsistent but I'm still the same person ^.^ I don't claim to be somebody that I'm not. My friends sometimes call me a "mosher" as a joke, I really don't care heh. I know they're kidding because they actually know me =D That's just me. Don't let them get you down!

Tehe.. Couple weeks ago.. My group and I were sitting in a corner durnin P.E. It was rainin so we couldn't go out side.. So all these black people come over (and no offense to any one who is African - American here) and they were all like " You stupid ass gothic people." and we all wear black yes.. but no of us our goth.. people round here assume if you wear black you are gothic.. well anyway.. they are all like goths.. so any one my friend Jacki gets up and is all like Bitch wanna fight and the black people run off and they are like all screamin" Ohh no they are gunna put a curse on us" we all got the biggest kick outta that.. the funnest part its like one of the guys that is in out group is like the biggest frickin red neck... he is so far from goth .. he doesn't even own anything black.. it was great.... alot of people lable me as a goth/freak at me schoo.. I think its funny.. and it doesn't bother me..

I got over lables a while ago. Its just peoples opinion on who you are. Take me for an example, just cuz im the only one into rock and stuff, and have a loner type personality, people come up and call me loner/goth, not knowing anything about me. Well when someone calls me gothic I tell them that calling someone is another gay label that is used for what the person wears not what they do and ladedadeda. I get to hear so many things about myself, being to fat, must be a bitch with all those tattoos, dress to much in black and so on. I just don't give a FUCK.
