on Sunday, I will be leaving for a week at church camp. It will also be the last time I get to be online every day.

My mom read part of an msn conversation. It just so happened to be my gf's. They say I violated their trust for the last time and have decided to unsubscribe to our internet company.

So I will be online 2 or 3 times a week for 2 hours at my dad's office. Those of you who have me for msn and aim, I will still be able to use that, but conversation must be limited, as either my mom or dad has to be there to oversee the internet.

This is their punnishment for violating their trust, which by definition was when I gave out my address, was going to meet someone even though I promised I wouldn't, and conversations that they read.

 

I can only go to the Good Charlotte forum and my board, so today and tomorrow will be the last time I will be here for a while.

Seems like you have been gone for a long time...

 

well reputation is to give points to someone if they helped you or made a nice comment...

 

I think trading is to tell if someone is reliable if you traded a CD or something like that...like on e-bay

back to my journal...

 

It's my second year in college (3rd semester) and I'm taking 17 hours. Hello stress! Thankfully, it's almost over and after this semester I have 48 hours under my belt.

 

Yesterday I found out that I was nominated 'most outspoken' at the college. At first I thought it was horrible because it's a popularity contest and I detest those. Worse, I HAVE to go to the Winter Ball just because I was nominated. Anyway, yesterday I saw a friend who was on Student Activities (the student orginization that does the Winter Ball) and asked her if I was nominated (I already knew I was, just wanted to be sure.) She said yes and I said "Oh great, this means I HAVE to go to the Winter Ball. Well, since I'm going would you like to go with me?" She was surprised and said yes.

 

I love it when you don't plan to ask someone out and do it at the spur of the moment. It saves a lot of anxiety.

I suppose I should probably tell the things that have been going on while I was away...or at least the things I can remember, lol. I think I'll start off with...

 

Spring Semester 06

 

This is when I was officially inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for the two year college. I made good grades that semester and I was able to go to the state convention in Austin, Texas. But the international convention in Seattle was the most fun...and expensive. More may come on Seattle when I have time to tell ya'll.

 

Summer 06

 

I got a job as a lifeguard at the country club. After about a few weeks of that it became apparent to me that my boss, Audrey Jones (a very nice woman, I really don't not like her), had absolutely no idea what a lifeguard actually does. She made us do odd jobs, like clean out closets and change lightbulbs. Isn't that a job for maintanance? (my spelling is bad, sorry guys) And at one point she got mad because we were sitting around doing nothing. I laughed at that because sitting down and watching the kids (which is pretty much doing nothing) is what we're supposed to do! Then, things got bad. The head lifeguard went on a week vacation and I had no idea what it took to clean a pool, I was just the guy who did what was told when he was told it. Well, the pool had become infested with musterd algea (which doesn't make sense to me since the color is green.) For the rest of the summer, we were battling the algea. Well, we got all the crap from Audrey. Yeah, it started out our fault but then it just got out of our control and out of our hands. It got better after Audrey resigned (she did so because the country club members gave her crap all the time and she couldn't handle it. I don't blame her, I wouldn't be able to handle it either) but not by much. The alge problem was still huge, but we finally got it under control. Then, one of the pumps wasn't working. That caused a problem when one of the Board Members decided to turn on the pump to see if it was fixed. It spewed algea into the pool. The algea problem persisted until I resigned from the job because summer was over. Once I quit working there, the alge never came back.

 

On the bright side, I became an officer for the honor society.

no, quite the opposite actually.

 

People still came and swam despite the pool being green. And the new boss, Rio (who's a good guy) decided that it would be ok for them to swim in the infestation. Funny how people complained of ear aches...

 

Well, about a month into the job, one of my co-workers invited me to join him and his friends to go "hunting" (picking up chicks woooooh!) The funny...or bad...thing about it is I was still with my gf who lives in Virginia, but I went with them anyway. Unfortunately, I picked a bad seed. This guy liked to smoke mary jane. (I can't spell marijuana) So I'm in the truck where three guys are smoking and drinking, all for picking up girls...not a good idea, not a good idea at all. We went to a park and met some girls who had a campsite at the park. We stayed there and were about to leave (it was 2am) until two park rangers came and said that people called because we were making too much noise. Long story short, I took my first breathalyzer test (which said I hadn't been drinking) and got a ticket for being in the park after hours. The rest of the guys who took the breathalyzer test and showed that they had been drinking got that along with public intoxication. One guy didn't take the test and didn't admit to drinking, and he was wasted. They could tell right away that he was wasted. But since he didn't admit it or take the test, his ticket didn't include public intoxication. How messed up is that?

 

You would think I would have not hung out with them again...wrong. I decided to be stupid one more time. This time I tried the mary jane. I didn't like it very much. We almost got in trouble with a cop, but the guy evaded the cop through twists and turns. At that point I realized that one day this guy will get into serious trouble and I wasn't going to be around when he did. A few months later he was arrested for marijuana possession.

 

And then I decided to break up with my gf from Virginia......no...I had already done that...sorry, I forget things sometimes...I told her we would not be together ever again. Harsh I know, but it had to be said because we were both holding each other back.

 

la de da de da...what else...

 

I became an officer in the honor society and since there wasn't enough officers I decided to take two officer positions: Vice President of Campus Affairs and Vice President of Communications. In comm. I have to do the newsletter every month, write about what we are doing in the college newspaper, and take the minutes of each meeting. For Campus Affairs, I have to put up flyers advertising events we are going to do and be in the Student Activities meetings.

Nothing more in the past for now. Right now I'm here instead of doing my homework.
