Band T-Shirts a New Trend?!

I wear band t-shirts b/c I like it & not b/c it's a trend. I hate it when these barbie doll looking girls with fake tans wear band shirts that they have no idea who they are. It's disgusting. This is kind of like the song Scars by Papa Roach. I used to love that song back in September when GAWM came out. Ever since it became a single and they play it on pop stations, every single little girl likes that song. And they go around saying 'OMG I like love papa roach!! & OMG I can totally relate b/c like I broke a nail yesterday and like it hurt alot and now I'm just soo depressed b/c that nail had like $398478374 nail polish on it like ohmygawwwd!' It's sickening...

All of the sudden EVERYONE is wearing band tees! It's all the preppy people too. They don't even know the bands they're wearing. I went up to one of the preppy one's that was wearing a Linkin Park shirt and I was like can you name 10 Linkin Park songs' date=' and ALL their albums. They couldn't do it. It's so pathetic. I was the first one in my school to wear a band tee now EVERYONE is, it's one thing if you like the band, but if you don't know them don't wear them! It's sorta comon sense. Everyone's getting them from Hot Topic, so now I have to buy them online, cause I'm NOT going to be stuck wearing the same shirt as some "wanna be" who doesn't even know anything about the bands. Here I see lot of ppl who wears t-shirts from bands,and I guess that if they are wearing it,it´s cyz it´s like their fave band or they like their music.If u ask me,I think it´s really stupid 2 waer a t-shirt from a band that u don´t really like,like u said linkinpark-1,it´s pathethic lol.

im really the only person at my school that wears a band t shirt everyday, but i didnt know it was a "trend" because it sure as hell isnt at my school.

 

i have um guns n roses, the casualties, flogging molly, alice in chains, the f ups, system of a down, AC/DC, aerosmith, the misfits, nirvana, the ramones....ah i cant think of the rest. but i cant just keep it plain and simple. i tend to fuck around with all my shirts, pants, and jackets and deface them with patches and safety pins, because im so lady like that way.

 

i think that that ac/dc chick was a poser. it pisses me off when people dont know their shit. i saw this person with a guns n roses shirt. i said "Oh you like them?" "yeah I LOVE THAT MOVIE!"

I haven't really noticed it's a trend. If I was to stereotype, I would say pretty much only the goths / moshers / skater types wear them. There hasn't really been a huge craze for them. I don't think. Maybe I'm blind lol. You only see like... 4/5 people at the MOST wearing them here, and it's usually Slipknot hoodies. I don't own a band T-Shirt as of yet. It's just not my style of clothing, though I'm trying to get my hands on a Linkin Park tank top instead:)! *Crosses fingers my friend will get it for my birthday!*.

 

By the way, isn't it spelt "Poseur" now these days? I dunno why they changed the spelling, I just noticed it. And if you check it up in the dictionary, it says:

 

Poser - A baffling question or problem.

Poseur - One who affects a particular attribute, attitude, or identity to impress or influence others.

 

So unless you're calling people "AHH! YOU...YOU...BAFFLING QUESTION!", Poseur might be the right term to use now. It sounds about right I think. Ahh I dunno. >.< I'll shut up.

i dont like to call them preps.. i dont like labeling but i have noticed that everyone is wearing them. i actually confronted a girl about her shirt today.. i asked her what her shirt meant (it was a shirt for SlipKnot) she had no idea it was a band.. she actually freakin thought it was a punk rock designing company... i wanted to laugh at her in her face but i couldn't im not that mean.... they aren't just wearing shirts.. its wrist bands, hats, etc. like one kid yesteday was wearing an LP wrist band.... i was wearing mine too and he had no idea what it meant.. it was just a regular one with just the LP sign with the P backwards... these people are so...... STUPID.. dont wear something if you dont know what it means.... Walmart is full of band tees'.... and people who haven't heard of these bands are buying them... its pathetic.. for some reason this issue drives me crazy...

Okay, yeah. It sucks that other people have started to wear band t-shirts but just ignore them. They don't know jack about the band and you were probably the first to wear the band's shirt. Don't decide to not wear it just because every other person have decided to start wearing it. By wearing the shirt, you're supporting your favorite band. Yes we were the first to start, but its preety scrarey to see "preps" in band tees. Its actually preety disturbing cuz some times the tie it up so that there stomach would show and it just ruins the tee itself and the image on it.

I'm the only person in the WHOLE DAMN SCHOOL that wears LP merch. I have never seen ANYBODY wear anything LP related EVER. I think it's because we have a majority of gangsters & fake Cali girls(in NJ) with fake tans fake blonde hair and fake everything else. I'm the only one in the whole school with the LP spirit =,( . yeh your so cool just coz you wear band t-shirts well so do i! and who cares just let them wear it! at least its getting people to know the band better.there are alot of fakers out there but its a free world just let them do whatever they want, if they want to be lame let them be lame.
