I think 18 would be a bit too high if they were to implement some kind of law. If it was to be true, I'll say 14/15/16ish would be a more appropiate age. I agree that kids are so annoying on the phone and chat too much shit for the whole world to hear. Wayyy too loud. Not all kids are that abusive with their phone though =) I use mine to keep in touch with people if I need their immediate assistance lol. And my parents are more willing to let me go out because they know that they can contact me when I've been out for too long or whatever. Or to check that I'm safe *Way over protective*. So in a way it's good. Or to call friends =D

 

I think it is pretty useless for a 12 year old to have a phone though. My little sister for example, she will probably only use it to play games or to phone friends randomly for no reason, just because she can...

 

Oh god, I have to mention this. That crazy frog ringtone is the most ANNOYING ringtone they've ever invented. Jamster must've made millions from that retarded tone, so many people have it >.<

I hate that one too! those commercials for ringtones and wallpaper i think are the most annying ever, then i rather watch a commercial about saving money or whatever.

 

I got my first phone when i was 11, quite early, i think i was one of the only ones, i hardly used it, and now i still hardly use my phone, i only take it with me in case of an emergency and to sms my best friend, i have a pretty old one, but i dont care, im not going to spend money on a new one while this one is still working, id rather spent that money on CDs!

I had my first cellphone when I was like 13 or 14 and I remember that my friends used to make fun of me cuz I had one,and they didn´t,and they were always asking me to let them use it for making phonecall(they did that on purpose to waste the money I had on my cellphone)but I was always telling them NO.

And then I had my new cellphone(Sony Ericcson t106,it´s nice tho I like it)last year for my bday or something like that.

Probably in the future I´ll have another one but with colors on it screen bcuz the one I have now it´s has a grey screen.

My brother and I got one to share when at 13 cause my parents didn't want to pay for two. She still won't give me my own. But I heard them talking this morning and they are planning on replacing our ghettofied phone and get two phones. \m/ Yay!

 

As for the hate of cell phones MK, if it weren't for teenagers having them, my friend would be dead right now. Parents usually give them to kids for safety and contact issues. If their child goes out a lot, they need a way to contact them to be picked up for one reason or another. And people talk loud on cell phones because the reception isn't always good, so you have to speak loud so the person on the other end can hear you.

I got my first one when I was 15.... it was great and all, very fun! ^_^ But then my sister got a hold of it and called long distance charging up a bill over $700, lol.

 

So, things are forgotten... the year after that I got another one. Once again, things were good... however my idiot sister once again got a hold of it... and this time deciding $700 wasn't enough decided to go upwards of $2500.... naturally not being the richest family in the ghetto... me and my mom decided that while my sister is on probation trying to get better... it was probably for the best that I don't ever have a cell phone again.
