this is a story I'm writing with alyssa (fainting LP fan) so here's the first chapter of our romance/horror story. so we'll be switching on and off writing it.

 

 

They were all resting peacfully in their bunks. the eight were all asleep. Some were dreaming peacfully. Others were plagued by nightmares. There was a screaching of breaks and everyone fell out of their bunks painfully. Alyssa and Melissa tried to untangel them selves from the mass of blankets and bodies that was the band called Linkin Park. Mike swore as his and chester's heads colided together. As brad turned the light on in the small hall way, It looked like they wern't the only things that were dislodged from their usuaul spots. Everything was everywhere and the bus driver was no where to be found. Chester pulled at his boxers as he put some clothes on. Mike was busy helping everyone up. Phoenix cautiously took a step out of the bunk area, suddenly the lights went out. There was more movement in the dark and more cursing as the band and the two girls hit their heads and other body parts on bunks.

"Guys who did I just step on?"

Joe asked.

"Joe get your fat ass off me!"

Chester hissed.

"I can't see a thing...someone just sat on me!"

Alyssa said as she whimpered.

"sorry alyssa I couldnt see you."

Brad said.

"Who's ass is right infront of my face?"

Melissa asked as she reached out infront of her.

"God Melissa stop being kinky and leave it for a hotel room! I know you like my ass but still...."

Rob said a smirk was evident in his voice. Someone finally found a flash light. The thin beam of light illuminated the floor where every one was. Phoenix held the flash light up a little higher. There were two sets of yellow eyes glowing in the front of the bus a few feet away. This made him drop the flashlight and there was a sound of broken glass as the flashlight broke. Soon there was the sound of snarling and a high pitched yell. Everyone made a mad scramble towards the sound. Rob, Chester and Melissa all did something very stupid and brave. They threw themselves at the pair of glowing eyes. There was more snarling and shouting.

"FUCKING HELL!"

Melissa shouted as Rob's foot connected solidly on the creatures head as it clamped down on her arm. There was something that sounded like a cross between a snarl and a scream as the other creature attacked Chester. There was a yelp as the one that Melissa and Rob were fighting against whined and ran off. Then Melissa ran over to chester where he was having a hard time fighting off the other thing. Rob picked up a rock and threw it as hard as he could at the beast. It then turned and launched its self at him. Melissa pushed rob out of the way as she wresteled with the creature. There was a scream in pain as razor sharp claws raked her across the stomache. Suddenly there was a wounded howl as rob dragged his body over towards Melissa. He panted as his chest was heaving up and down. He propped his head on the tour bus. Melissa then laid her head on his stomache. The three of them winced as Joe shined a light in their eyes. Mike grabbed a bunch of water bottles and towles off the bus. Alyssa was holding onto Brad like he was her last hope.

"Joe go get the first aid kit and the extra tape and gauze! Mike, Brad, Alyssa, drench the towles and put pressure on the wounds!"

Phoenix barked out orders. Everyone was too scared to question them. Joe ran back on the bus. Melissa hissed as Phoenix put presssure on her stomache.

"JOE HURRY THE HELL UP!!"

Phoenix said with an air of emergency around him.

"Come on Melissa stay with me.... tell me what are the lyrics to your favorite song?"

He said as melissa's eyes slid in and out of focus.

"w-w-w-why d-d-does it feel like......n-n-night today, s-s-s-s-something ins-s-side's not right today. W-w-w-w-why am I so uptight t-t-t-t-today..............p-p-p-paranoia's all....I got left..."

Phoenix started cleaning her wounds with some rubbing alcohol. Melissa cried out when it stung as she took Rob's unwounded hand. He wrapped up her arm expertly and did the same for her stomache and leg. Phoenix them moved on to Rob, who hissed every time he was touched. Joe brought back the gauze and tape. Phoenix then moved on to chester who was unconcious. Soon Phoenix was pretty much covered in blood just like Melissa Chester and Rob were.

"I think we need to get out of here. Joe, Mike, grab the bags, Alyssa and Brad get the food in the cooler, Rob can you carry Melissa? She won't be able to walk on that leg.''

Rob nodded a yes as he swept her up like she weighed nothing. Phoenix hoisted Chester up. Joe came down with almost three duffel bags on his arms with the bookbag of the first aid suplies, Mike carried the rest of the stuff as well as the flashlight Joe had. Alyssa and Brad carried one, so did Melissa. Mike's eyes fell on a dirt road that went through the trees.

"If we follow that dirt road then we can find some place to stay."

Mike said.They nodded and followed mike. He and Joe led the way with the flash light while joe carried his bamboo kendo stick for protection. They had been walking for almost an hour and a half before they came to a clearing. There was an old white house with a green roof. There were flickering lights on in the windows. Mike knocked on the door. It swung open with the lightest touch. Mike peered his head in and took a look around. He and Joe dropped the bags and set off to check the old house while the others stayed behinde. Brad shined his light on an old plaque that was on the door.

"The Rainkin House. Built 1764."

He read out loud. It looked like one of those old southern plantations. Mike and joe came back from their expidition.

"There's no one in here. I guess we can just stay the night here."

Mike said. Alyssa gave a laugh.

"Why do I have the feeling that this might end up like a scooby do episode?"

They all laughed.

"We should all stay together. There's a big living room downstairs so we can stay there."

Chester's red mohawked hair bobbed up and down as Phoenix lugged him into the room where Joe had put the sleeping bags out. Rob gently laid Melissa down on the sleeping bag between him and Phoenix. Alyssa and brad (who are dating by the way) set the cooler down and were getting snuggly by the fire place. Joe was busy reading some book he found on one of the bookcases. Then there was a howl right out the window where Joe sat. he jumped up scared.

“What the hell is that?”

"Its the wolves agn! Duh. What else howls?!" Melissa hissed at Joe, rubbing her leg, wincing at her own touch. She sighed, agitated.

 

"Well sorry! Who pushed ure buttons?!" Joe exclaimed with the same tone as melissa.

 

"Guys, just stop. The wolves r still THERE ya know!" Alyssa sighed, standing up.

 

"Do we have to kick their ass again?!" Rob groaned.

 

"No, i think we have to stay inside. Melissa, Rob, and Chester cant take anymore bites or anything" Mike stood in front of the group, taking charge as the leader.

 

"Hey im fine!" Chester complained, getting up "See?!" soon enough, he had fallen over with a big thud "Never mind"

 

Alyssa rolled her eyes and stood next to Mike. "Ok, we gotta think of sumthing, the wolves sound like they will try to get in any minuete now"

 

As if on cue, growling and snarling could be heard from outside the door. Joe stood there, scared.

 

"I say we fight for our fucking lives!" Brad declared.

 

"Yeah!" Chester and Melissa said together.

 

"Hell no! You will be KILLED" Mike growled "Dont u get it?!"

 

"Yeah we get it Mike! And we ARE fighting" Chester said, and he did the dumbest thing he could have done. He opened the door. The wolves sprang in, teeth bared, claws unsheathed.

 

"Holy SHIT!" Joe yelled, jumping on the couch. The wolves went immediately to Joe, then spread out. One on Alyssa and Brad, one on Melissa and Rob, one on Mike and phi, and 2 on joe and chaz. It was a fight to the death. They were fighting, kicking, running, everything they could. It didnt seem good for LP and alyssa and melissa.

The light creeped through the front door as Joe swatted at one of the wolves with the leather bound book in his hand. Suddenly one stopped attacking and threw it's head back and howled. The rest of the wolves joined it as they ran out the door into the woods. Rob went over to Chester and smacked him upside his head.

"If there are wolves out side dont open the front door you fucking moron!!"

Rob snarled.

"Alright what's your dammage?"

Joe asked. The rest of the guys looked at him.

"I'm fine, so is Alyssa. You alright Mike?"

Brad said. Alyssa sank down in the dusty old sofa next to brad. He put his arm around her protectivly.

"I'm alright. You ok Joe?"

Mike asked.

"Alright if anyone who wasn't dammaged before is dammaged, say so now....wait where's Phoenix?"

Right then Phoenix came through the door.

"I lost them. They left nothing no tracks nothing those arn't normal wolves."

Joe went back to reading the book he found. Phoenix frowned as he took a look at the wounds that were on Rob's arm.

"What's wrong Phi?"

He asked. Without answering, Phoenix checked Both Chester and Melissa's bandages. The bleeding had stopped and they were almost half healed.

"Nothing. Don't worry about it Rob...."

He said distracedly. There was something weird about the way Phoenix walked. He limped really bad on his right leg. The other guys noticed it too, but like Rob and Melissa, they just let it go. Melissa gave a tired yawn as she laid her head on rob's stomache. Everyone soon fell asleep, this time not awaking to some sort of peril.

 

 

Alyssa streatched and gave a yawn as she awoke. Joe was still in his place from early in the morning reading the same leather bound book.

"Hey Joe what are ya reading?"

He looked up as she aproached him. He looked up tiredly as he showed her the front of the book.

"It's the diary of a man named Ian Rankin. he lived in this house back durring the revolutionary war. He talks about a species of special wolves that have lived in these woods for years. But....."

He said as he pointed to his laptop, the site he pulled up was a site on early american leagends.

"The wolves describe in the legends are the same ones described here. So its most likely that there are werewolves. Even though it sounds stupid, its the best answer choice that we have so far. Every time there are new people in this area, the older generations come back to infect then they dissapear. Only those who can control the instincts survive."

Joe explained to a facinated Alyssa.

"That's a whole load of bull shit and you know it Joe, don't fill my girl up with all of that crap."

Brad said as he put his arm around her. Joe just shrugged as he turned back to reading the book of his. Brad turned to the cooler.

"Hey Joe, Where's Phoenix?"

Joe shrugged not looking up from his book.

"He left about an hour ago. Said he was going to try and see if he could find someone to fix the bus."

"Oh ok."

Brad said as he looked for something to fix for dinner. It was close to seven o'clock in the afternoon. Joe looked around the room at Chester and Rob and Melissa. He had no doubt in his mind that Chester and rob were strong willed people. Melissa, however, he wasn't so sure about. But if Mike was any indication of how she was, they were family after all, then she was just as stubborn and strong willed as he was. One by one the rest of the guys woke up. Melissa was first, she stood up and walked outside to sit on the old porch. Rob and Chester soon Joined her. Mike was still pretty much dead to the world. Joe laughed as he laid there snoring. The house smelled with an amazing scent of food, considering it was brad's cooking. They all sat down to eat. Phoenix still hadn't returned yet. This left them worried about their friend. There was another howl near the door. Mike jerked awake stupidly.

"Alright I'll let the puppy in..."

He said still half awake. Melissa Rob and Chester jumped on top of him to prevent him reaching the door.

"Mike don't be a moron!"

They all shouted at the same time. They let mike up as there was a scratch on the door. Rob suddenly had a feeling in the very bottom of his gut.

"Guys Phoenix is out there. We have to help him."

He said as he threw the door open. In limped a wolf the size of a small grown bear with redish brown fur and hazel eyes.

"Oh come here fella."

Melissa said as she got down on her knees. The wolf automaticaly came to her and licked her hands. They looked in each other's eyes.

"Your not going to hurt us are you Phi?"

"Phi?'

Rob and Chester asked amazement.

"Yeah he's Phoenix. I'm sure of it."

The wolf seemed to roll his eyes at Chester and Rob. Everyone else had gathered around.

"Wow Phi, your really fluffy."

Joe said as he shot a glare at Brad. Brad just crossed his arms.

"Well i don't believe it!"

Phoenix barked and dragged Brad down by his collar and pulled him out side to the dirt path.

"Please Don't eat him Phoenix!"

Chester called. After ten minutes of silence there was a loud Bark and a shout, everyone went outside. Brad was handing from a tree branch with bits of sticks and leaves in his fro.

"Yeah that's Phoenix."

He said. Melissa and Rob froze. The moonlight bathed them all in light. Chester froze right beside mike. Phoenix pulled alyssa away by the hem of her shirt as Joe grabbed Mike. They started shaking badly as their viens popped out and their muscles expaneded. They cried out in pain. Phoenix howled with them, knowing the pain they went through. Their teeth grew razor sharp like steel traps and claws grew sharp as well. Their cries in pain turned into wimpering as they finished transforming into the wolves.

"Are you guys alright?"

Joe asked fearfully. Phoenix stood his ground as he sniffed at them. The one with black fur with red streaks on the shoulders sniffed back at phoenix. She then trotted up to mike and proceeded to lick his hand. Brad slid back down the tree.

"That one's Melissa, Mike. The grey one with a pirced ear is Chester and the brown one with the black muzzle is Rob."

He said. Melissa truned on to her back as mike scratched her stomach. Chester started shaking himself off, gray fur flew everywhere. Rob padded cautiously over to Melissa and started nuzzeling her with his head. she licked him on the cheek.

"I think after that we can figure out who is who."

Alyssa said as chester started scratching behind his ear. Alyssa gave brad a kiss as she helped him pull some sticks out of his hair.

"Well can we get back to dinner please? Are you guys hungary?"

The four wolved wagged their tails at Mike's question. Joe went inside and got out a package of chicken legs. He opened it up and set it on the ground in the entrance way. Phoenix picked up one and jumped up on the couch to eat. Melissa and Rob just laid infront of the fire place. Chester Joined Phoenix on the couch.

"Geez can you guys get of the furnature? You're going to get sallmonella on the couch or something."

Joe said. Chester and phoenix gave him a look that said 'why-dont-you-come-here-and-make-us-bubble-butt' Joe threw his hands up in defeat.

"You know what you guys are a lot more sarcastic as dogs then as humans."

Mike went over to Chester and rubbed his belly when he was done eating.

"Just don't eat my bed room slippers alright?"

He asked chester. Chester just had his eyes closed in estacy as his tail was flying back and forth as he dusted the floor with his tail.

“You know, I could get used to this. I always wanted a dog.”

Brad said as he scratched Phoenix behind the ear. Alyssa sat down beside him and also scratched Phi behind the ear.

“Yeah well if all dogs were as well trained as he is.”

Phi lifted his head up and licked Alyssa on the cheek.

“Hey watch it mutt! That’s My girlfriend.”

Brad said pointedly. Phoenix growled. Melissa lifted her head up, her ears twitched back and forth. Rob too lifted his head up and sniffed the air. They both stood up. Their fur bristeled and they bared their teeth. Chester and Phoenix did the same as they walked cautiously to the door that led to the basement.

Everyone turned their attention to the wolves. Chester growled and sprang outside, and the rest followed.

 

"Shit whats happening?!" Mike backed away from the door, as wolves soon aproached the porch. And it wasnt Chaz, Melissa, Rob, or Phi either. Loud yelps and whimpers were heard from outside.

 

"Oh my god. Hell no." Alyssa gasped shaking her head in disbelief. She grabbed on to Brad and he hugged her tightly.

 

"RUN!" Joe screamed. He started up the stairs. Something tugged on his shirt and he flew backwards. The wolf that pulled him down...was Rob? "R-rob?! Its me Joe! Your old buddy, remember?"

 

Chester, Melissa, Phi, and Rob, had turned agenst them.

 

"Melissa! Snap out of it! Come on, you gotta remember me! Your cousin?" Mike stood his ground, but grew scared and backed off.

 

"Melissa! Come on, it's me Alyssa! Your best friend! Please!" Alyssa had jumped on the couch, melissa soon about to pounce on her. Brad ran up and swatted her nose. Melissa backed off, shaking her head, twitching her ears. "Brad!" Alyssa gasped, looking at him "Thats still Melissa!"

 

"I know! Melissa or not, she was gonna KILL u" He sed skeptically. He grabbed her and they hopped off the couch. Bad move. Rob was pissed. He approached, teeth bared and growling. He hopped on Brad and started to attack feircly. Light peeked thru the dorr weakly. They howled that same deadly howl, and ran out. Alyssa ran to Brad and dropped right next to him, helping him up.

 

"Are u ok?! I was so worried!"

 

"Im fine" Brad sighed and shook his head. They were all shaken up. But Mike especially. He walked out and sat byhimself on the porch. He didnt come in until he decided to go to sleep.

 

K Melissa, Ure turn!!!

There was snarling out side. Mike jumped up scardly. The rest of the guys rushed out side. Mike's mouth dropped open. The wolves he recognized as Chester Rob and Melissa and Phoenix, were fighting against another pack of wolves. Chester snapped his steel trap jaws taking the leg clear off of one wolf. As the other wolves disbanded, Chester, Phoenix and Rob started fighting amongst themselves. Joe scratched his head.

"You know I don't think I'll ever understand them..."

Brad grasped alyssas hand pulling her closer.

"Its the dominance thing. Chester and Phoenix and Rob are fighting for dominance.....its a hierarchy kind of thing."

Alyssa said as she pulled out an old Biology book and showed them a diagram in the book.

"Where did you get that?"

Brad asked. She rolled her eyes at Brad.

"I have a major in Biology and a minor in animal psychology remember?"

"Yeah that's why I love you.."

There was a loud snarl as the reddish brown wolf stood with his tail raised in dominance as rob rolled over and tucked his tail between his leg and wimpered. Chester lept on top of Phoenix batteling for dominance. There was more snapping and snarling.

"God if this was a real human fight then Melissa would be thrilled to have guys fighting over her."

Mike said running his hands through the hair.

"Ewww..."

They all said.

"That's just gross. Lets go inside. that's just.....ewww."

Mike shut the door as they left the wolves outside. Mike shook his head trying to get the bad images out of his mind.

"Phoenix and Melissa.......that's a really bad picture."

Joe agreed. Brad and Alyssa just snuggeled on the couch.

"Well you know in a wolf pack, the alpha wolf mates with the alpha female. Since Melissa is the only girl..... I feel sorry for rob."

Alyssa explained. Mike shook his head.

"Well ya know, its just weird to see my cousin being a wolf mating with Phoenix."

Everyone shuddered despite the moaning howls out side.

 

The sun peeked out through the window.

" MIKE!! LET ME IN NOW!!"

Melissa shouted as she pounded on the window. Mike laughed at Melissa as she tried to cover herself up and pound on the window at the same time.

"MICHAEL KENJI SHINODA!! DON"T MAKE ME TELL THEM ABOUT THE HAIR INCIDENT WHEN YOU WERE FIFTEEN!!"

She screamed. Mike jumped up and let her in.

"What exactly were you talking about?"

Alyssa and Brad asked at the same time. Melissa put some clothes on.

"Melissa dont you dare!"

Mike said threatingly.

"Or what? I'll bite your ass! Oh nothing but when he was 15 he shaved his head bald one summer and he ductaped the hair under his arms. It was funny."

Everyone started laughing. There was more banging on the door as Melissa collected boxers and pants for Chester Rob and Phoenix. Rob greeted her with a kiss good morning. A low growl erputed from in Phoenix's throat.

"Chill Phi, you have a wife. I may be the alpha female when I'm a wolf, but I still love rob."

Melissa said as she threw a pair of shorts and shrek boxers at him. She kissed Rob passionatly as Phoenix continued to growl. Chester rubbed his jaw as he got a face full of boxer and shorts.

"You know Phi, you really are an ass crack."

As he put his boxers and shorts on. There was another growl and Phoenix snapped.

"Is that a challenge?"

"Maybe it is!"

Chester said as he slugged Phoenix across the jaw. Rob took both of them up by their shorts.

"Chester don't do that......let me!"

He dropped Chester and then bodyslammed Phoenix. There was a loud string of curses and shouting as Melissa rubbed her temples.

"I'm sorry about trying to take a chunk out of you. But there was danger out there I didn't want you to get hurt."

They hugged as the other two continued to grapple and fight.

"You know what you mother fucker!"

There was a cry as Phoenix headbutted rob in the nose.

"Your just an ass hole! I will get you back."

He said as he stalked out the door. Melissa put some extra clothes in her waterproof bookbag and grabbed one of Rob's sweatshirts and put it in her bag too. Melissa then stood up and followed Rob out the door as she pushed Phoenix out of the way. Brad protectivly put his arms around Alyssa.

"Don't even think about it, I'm pretty sure that I can find something to turn you into a nice fur rug."

Brad said. Phoenix rolled his eyes and gave Brad the finger. Poor Chester just stood there and looked confused as he switched his gaze from the open door to Phoenix's retreating back as it was going up the stairs.

"You know what, I'm not getting in to this!"

He said as he laid down on the couch.

 

Rob ran through the forrest. The air was freezing despite it being the middle of the summer. His lungs hurt, but his hightened senses made the run a little more enjoyable then if he was a normal human. HIs feet ached as he continued to run barefoot. Rob left a twisting and winding trail bahind him. He came to a lake where there was an island in the middle of the lake. Rob dove in and started swimming to the island. The water was warmer then the air was around it. He shivered as he stepped out of the lake. He heard someone calling his name, but he didn't look back. He started a fire as he went deeper into the island.

"You know what Rob you really should consider using a different cologne (sp?)

Even though I like it, it smells bad when you have a wolfs nose."

Melissa said as she rung the water out of her hair.

"You shouldn't be around here, Phoenix might get mad."

He said as he sat down on a log. Melissa sat down beside him as she stripped his clothes off and handed him a new set of clothes and his sweat shirt. Rob shivered down into his warm sweatshirt.

"Look I don't care about what phoenix thinks. I have loved you and will always love you."

 

 

"Look Phoenix, I dont care what you think. Melissa loves rob, werewolf or not and I'm not going to let you break that!"

Alyssa said sternly. Phoenix crossed his arms.

"Oh really just what are you going to do?"

"Sorry Phi..."

Brad said as he slugged him with a kendo stick and knocked him out. Mike raised an eyebrow.

"Baseball 4th through 12 grade."

"Oh right..."

Mike said. He looked at Chester who was reading a book of Melissa's, Cyrano de Bergerac. He sighed and looked up over the edge of the book.

"We have to go find rob and melissa. Come with us if you want, we could use you nose."

Chester put a shirt on and put some shoes on.

"Just dont put a leash and a collar on me."

 

Rob and Melissa snuggeled closer to eachother as they waited for their clothes to dry. Rob's stomach growled loudly.

"You gonna go huntting or do I have to force feed you sushi?"

She said pointing to the little fish that were flopping on the ground. Rob made a face but then licked his lips.

"There is no scent of any animal other then birds and squirrls. I dont like squirrls and I cant catch birds."

Rob and Melissa had been laying together by the stream for what seemed like hours. They heard a loud snarl behind them.

 

"Phi, we know its u" melissa hissed, looking behind her, Sure enuff, Phi came out of the bush.

 

"I won Fair n square, rob!" phi growled. He leaped on top of Rob, quickly pounding him into pulp. Melissa growled and pulled Phi off. Since she still had steel trap jaws, she bit phi on the ear.

 

"OW!" he hopped around screaming in pain. Melissa laffed, and helped Rob up. They all started back to the house, Phi lagging behind.

Everyone was taking a small nap somewhere in the house. Mike was sleeping in the dining room, Joe in the kitchen, Alyssa and Brad were fast asleep on the couch, while chaz was sleeping in the library. Alyssa woke up just as Melissa, Rob, and Phi had entered the house.

 

"Hey, where did u guys go?" she yawned sleepily.

 

"Nowhere" Melissa shrugged and sat down.

 

'Why does it always seem me and melissa drift farther and farther?' alyssa thought to herself, laying back down next to Brad. She hated that thot 'I must be stupid to think like that.'

 

"HELP!" Joe came running into the living room. "We cant find him!"

 

"Guys...Mike is gone" Chester muttered, looking around. Even tho it didnt seem like it, u could tell Chaz was hella worried.

Melissa sat down with Alyssa.

"I'm really sorry about seeming stand offish but I'll explain it when we find mike."

they all devided into teams Rob and melissa searched the north part or the houses land.

"I can't pick up his scent anywhere."

Rob said as the sky darkened over head with rainclouds. A blast of artic air chilled their spines. Rob wrapped his arms around her to try and warm her up.

"I miss him rob, I really do."

Rob gave a shy sort of smile. He knew that Mike was the only family that Melissa really had.

"We'll find him I promise. He can't have gone far. we've covered about five miles just the two of us."

She hugged Rob as she began to cry. He pulled of his beloved black matrix hat and put it on her head.

"Just promise me that no matter what happens, you'll always love me."

Rob said as he planted a kiss on her lips.

"That wont be a problem."

There was a loud shout.

"Rob Melissa We found something!!"

Chester called as loud as he could. Rob and melissa took off running side by side at their top speed. the rain started falling really hard. the wet smells of the forrest seemed to swamp their noses.

"Look its Mike's hat. I can't get a scent or anything. Not in this rain."

Chester said as he shook himself off.

"You guys can go ahead in. I'm going to continue to look for him."

Melissa said pointedly.

"Your not going to stay out here by yourself. I'm staying with you."

Rob said. Melissa and Rob said good bye to the others as they continued to search. They came upon the island where they had stayed. The soft glow of a fire and smoke on the shore of the little island.
