hi.. well i need help.. i want to make a picture from a piece of a videoclip.. does anyone knows how to do that.. i see everywhere pics that are from a videoclip but now i want to do it on my own.. please ? * looks really por and cute *

You mean you wish to extract some pictures from a DVD or VHS?

 

That would require you to have some kind of plug-in for your PC, or some software, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

If we're talking online videos here, then a simple PRINT SCREEN might do the job. If not, there is a way of taking screencaps if you have Media Player... I think.

print screen doesn't work. it's weird.. the place where the video is will stay black unless it's positioned over where the video is playing..a nd idk how to do screen caps.. are those just like.. screen shots?

Yes, screencaps are the same thing as screenshots.

 

I tried print screen on a video once and pasted it in to Paint and the video was still playing in Paint.. it was weird. So it didn't work then, but I thought maybe it would work on a different format of video.

Oh I understand what you mean I think:) You want to take a screen shot from a video that you have right? Yeah the "Print screen" button doesn't work lmao. It's really weird but eh. Of course it's possible to do ^.^. I do it all the time for my miniclip graphics and such.

 

The way I do it is like this -->

You need a program called "Virtual Dub" which you can download for free at http://www.virtualdub.org/index. Download it and install it. When it's done, open up the actual Virtual Dub program, then go on File -->> Open, and open up your video clip (Your video has to be in .mpeg or .avi format. If it's windows media or real player, you need to convert it with a video converter, or try and get it in a different format, otherwise it won't open). It will then open each individual frame in your video, just scroll across to the part of the video that you want to screen shot, then press "Ctrl" and "1". This is the equvilent to a screenshot actually lol. Then open up paint, or any other image editing software, and paste (Ctrl V) there and it should come up without the video still moving lmao xD! Crop it and there you go!

if u have bs player hust press "P" and it will make a pic for u

then u'll have to search the pic in the directory where bs player was installed

enter the folder and .......surprise...u'll find the pic there
