Actually, I've seen a lot of Rob-look alikes. I remember last year it was a boy working behind the customer service desk at Kmart. I thought it was my friends boyfriend, then I did a double take. I ran to my mom and said, "Mom, Rob, from Linkin Park is working at Kmart," he heard me and I looked him again. I was like, "Never mind,"

 

But he was so hot! I like going to Kmart now

I saw those pictures too, they were hot with all that greatness and glory of hottness yeah! *stares off into her own world... Rob's World* Rob's World what a cool movie idea.

XD Very few guys have actually wandered into this most holy of Holies (quite possibly for fears of drowning in said drool and whatnot when we get in a pic-posting frenzy. Bourdonemia is a terrible affliction... ask my sista... You drool excessively, get all giddy like a schoolgirl over just about anything Rob-related, rant his name like a woman possessed, and *ahem* other... unmentionables that need not be mentioned on a general forum such as this There's no cure and it can last for years. Honestly, we rally here in prayer and worship to ease the affliction but we need all the help we can get! Donate and save a CoBer near you today! XD ) Hahaha... God, where did that rant come from...?

Anyway glad someone gets a kick out of my posts. My therapist says I'm getting better btw, that's also sweet :thumbsup: Haha (just joking)

My computer deprived friend had a good suggestion. She had said that since CoB is the longest running church on LPF that we should create a special website, for more CoBers who can't or hasn't heard of LPF to join. That way it grows even bigger, but that was her idea. I told her I would have run it with the others.

^ In response to that I have to admit that while I myself have considered the idea on and off for some time now, I haven't the faintest clue on how to go about setting that up and all that - this is as high tech as I get ^_^ Hahaha. I'm an old fuddy-duddy, remember? -_-

 

But yeah I'd be all sweet to do that... if I knew how to go about it. But my other issue, asides from financing that endevour, would be what to exactly do there. I mean ranting and drooling and posting pics here is one thing, but how exactly do you keep people 'entertained' after they've had enough of all of that - as if one could, I know, the notion of getting bored salivating over a pic of Our Lord borders on heresy somewhat - but still - How exactly would any CoB spin-off site be different to any other Rob-fan site and how the hell would we maintain it? Up until recently we hit a slump for a while there... place was drier than an Afghan's sandshoe (XD - joking) I'd need help from everyone here (CoB) and how many would be prepared to stick it out???

 

Anyway, I like the idea but to be honest I don't know. This is my comfort zone cause I know it... That's not to say it'll never change but honestly if the CoB left LPF part of me fears I will quickly abandon this place in favour of our new church... 0_0 Dang.

I told her that before, but running a website is quite frustating. Trust me I tried it before, there were codes, people you don't want to deal with it, so I canned it before it even took off. So, I just stick to LiveJournal, Xanga, and MySpace. It's quick, fast, and easy-easy meaning that layouts and stuff are made for you. And that your not paying for it, unless you have payed account on LiveJournal. Yes, mostly for layouts on my LiveJournal and MySpace I just get premade ones.

 

However, I told her it was nothing but a dream... a dream that takes time, effort, and sometimes money, depending on what your getting.

I agree with my sis, building a website is not an easy work, especially if you want it to be successful and frequently updated...Personally I have no clue as to how a website is built so I couldn't contribute anyway...But I think things here with the CoB are easier, I like the CoB and I don't see a particular reason why we should replace it with something else...Mystery put it really well; running a website is frustrating... *hugs to all the CoBers* Bless our Bourdie!

All in all, like I told my friend a website is time consuming, and you need time to produce and think out what you want to do. And if you really want to be the big-header of your website you need to know quite a bit.

CoB Dictionary!

 

An amusing thought just occured to me whilst chatting with my Robsessing sista - why not start a CoB dictionary? (Nerds rejoice) *lol*

What I'm referring to in particular is the words we use here that we often incorporate His name into. For instance, Hil's gourmet delight and our signature dish here at the CoB - Bourdon bourbons. Or is that bonbons? XD

 

Anyway, it's a direct result of late night chats everynight where we often impart many pics, vids, facts and drool about our chosen deity. While I won't divulge all of the sordid details (this is a General ages forum so you'll have to use your imagination ) I will say that we often fuse words to make a new one with a Rob-spin. For instance I had previously mentioned a craving I had for chocolate - but instead called it

Robolate. Definition; Rob covered in chocolate - or the PG version, Chocolate fashioned in his image.

The first one is way better I reckon but still... that's my take on it anyway.

 

Of course we have the well used;

Robsess -ion, -ing - Obsessing about Rob. D'uh. What we are best known for here at the CoB. Well... that and drooling of course!

 

JoJo had another gem;

Bourdonemia - (Bourdon & anemia) - definition; Getting weak from lack of Rob, the sensation we feel when talking about Rob/looking at his pictures/anything at all Rob-related. Symptoms include dizziness, palpitations, excessive drooling, 'butterflies' in stomach, occasional bouts of turretts syndrome, shaking, giggling, euphoric or elevated moods, idiot grinning, fainting, general weakness, wearing caps backwards, frowning, and trans-like states when hearing the sound of drums.

Hahaha!! Sista! That was quite an idea, creating a CoB dictionary!! Really cracked me up!! Well, yeah, why not? I think all CoBers should be familiar with the Robsessor's terminology right? Another word that we have used during our chats and occurred to me just now is

Bourdilicious: (Bourdie & delicious) Means that something Rob-related is very droolworthy, thus in a sense, delicious. For example a sexy Rob picture is very Bourdilicious!!! Well, at least this is the way I use the word, correct me if I'm wrong my sis...

 

Any further additions to our dictionary would be highly appreciated! :thumbsup:

Hi dear co-Robsters!!! Today I came up with another monumental Rob-word and our Head CoBer my beloved sister Ravyn allowed me to include it in our church's official dictionary so here I am! Our new word is:

Bourdonmas - It comes from Bourdon and Christmas and refers to a specific date, the 20th of January that is, which is our Lord's birth date as we all know! Ravyn and I decided to create a Robcountry where people will celebrate Bourdonmas instead of Christmas, decorating drumkits instead of christmas trees and so on...*lol* For more information you can check Ravyn's Journal... :thumbsup: *hugs for all* Bless our Bourdie!!!
