Well I've awoken from my Rob-Shaped-Food enduced slumber (finally)

 

I have another one of my little stories to tell you about my day! (cue *groans* from fellow CoBers)

 

Well I support my local Rugby League team, Warington Wolves, and we were playing tonight at home against Hull FC. Unfortunatly we lost (score was *cough42cough*-6. We don't usually lose! lol)

 

Anyway... Me and my friend Chantal and my family and some friends were walking back to our car after the game and the Hull fans usally cause a bit of trouble- fighting and abuse calling ect. We were looking on the other side of the road where something was kicking off. Then suddenly this Hull scally came up to this middle aged Warrington fan and punched him really hard >.<. He fell flat out on the cold, hard pavement and didn't move. He'd been knocked unconcious .

 

After the scally punched him, him and his friends ran off round a corner, but fortunatly my dads friend is a high profile policeman so he ran after him and managed to lock them in their own van that they were about to take off in! So then we called the police and an ambulance for the poor guy who was still flat out on the pavement.

 

So eventually they came- the guy had regained consciousness fortunatly but they still took him away becuase he had head injuries or something. The police got into the van and got hold of the Hull fan who had punched him. He got handcuffed!! This was exciting because I'd never witnessesed anything like this before. So they took him of to the police station where he would be spending the night. Then we all had to say what we saw and stuff like that.

 

So yeah, it was pretty darn scary when I think about it. 8pm in the dark with violent Hull fans and police and ambulances and all that >_<

Sounds very exciting. Unfortunately my day wasnt very good. I went to work, and when I came home I found out that my parents had taken my cat to the vet and she had to be put down. *crys* so it really sucks.

Dude, it sounds like both of you had sucky days :( i dunno why, but i feel especially bad for Hilly Billy i don't know what i would do if i found out that that had happened to one of my dogs... do you know why they had to do it?

 

And Allison...are you okay? everything alright? not shook up or anything?

Well, she was quite old, and she definatly wasnt the most healthy cat (she was rather fat), and I guess she was in pain. And I guess today when I was at work she was having convulsions (sp? and Im not to sure what convulsions are...this is just what my mom was telling me) and I dunno...but all of that happened when I was at work, so when I came home, my mom told me that she was gone. at first I though she was jokeing, but then she started to cry, then we both cried and augh...horrible...we've had that cat for as long as I remember.

Awww Billy *hugs* I'm so sorry I know what its like to lose someone/thing and its pretty damn awful. We're all here for you hun.

Man... not sure what to say. Seems like things have been sucking in general and on a grand scale for most people here as of late (thank god we have a visual distraction, huh? *looks at pics brokenangel posted and starts drooling and swooning again*) Sorry to hear about your cat Meteora, *sobs* I can't imagine what something like that would do to me, (my cats are child-substitutes, Zed being 14 in a few months, Nug being 3) it's just... I can't even think of a word to best describe how awful that is/would be. So, you have my comforting thoughts and as always big Bourdie hugs (which in essence is kinda redundant, cause he's like 6 foot 5 or so in RL and I'm like 5'3", so I can't give lofty-tower-brick-wall hugs like I assume he can/could/does *drools at the thought of being caught up in those arms... ahhhhhhhhh*

 

Ahem, sorry, what was I talking about again? Kinda wandered off the beaten path (as usual). Oh yeah, the loss of your cat. Trully, my sincerest thoughts are with you for that. I hope you feel better soon, though I'm not typically a great believer that time heals everything; that depends on too many factors to be trully consitent. Having said that, and I hope Black_Angel's traumatic night after the football mania is better (agreed, bloody scarey that would've been! Glad you're okay!), let me also add my gripe on a shitty thing that 'happened' to me yesterday.

 

No one knows about it, and I hesitate to tell anyone I actually know but I need to get this off my chest 'cause the guilt of it's weighing me down. One would argue I set myself up for it, but... well, a 'friend' I've known for almost 10 years took 'advantage' of our friendship in a not-so-friendly way. I feel guilty because it's the circumstances of what we were doing that really upsets me; despite fear of judgement, I'll tell you that prior to we were watching an adult-oriented movie and he suddenly got physical. Now we've been friends for years, honestly, he's like the big brother I've never really had and we'd been watching such movies and stuff for years, since we'd met really without incident. Yesterday he overstepped the line and things got awkward. He dragged me across the couch, pulled my pants down and... did something I won't repeat here. Having said that I'll clarify he did stop pretty quick, and I did tell him to stop (repeatedly) which he did eventually abide by, but not till it was too late. He's married with 3 kids and basically begged me after that to have sex with him and when I told him out right no, that I wouldn't and that he shouldn't, he was married, his response was simply; "So?"

I'm scared now because it's put me in an awkward position. He's my best friend's brother and father to my godson. Everyone knows he and I used to watch these movies and generally just meet socially every once in a while, even his wife (who's comfortable with the idea because she doesn't like the movies etc and is glad he has a friend she trusts he can share his interest with) but nothing has ever happened of a physical nor intimate nature in all the time I've known him, nearly 10 years, so now I'm feeling, despite reservations, that I kind of deserved what happened. I can't even tell Jammer because she and him have had a thing for years and it seems everyone likes this man, even I don't hate him, I'm just angry he thought he had the right to do what he did to a friend. I'm also angry that I couldn't stop him, he's not a huge guy (for instance, he's not built like our dear sweet lord, and thank god at this point, I say) but I couldn't fight him off... at least I can be consoled with the fact he did listen to me in the end and stop, he didn't 'go all the way' but for all inents and purposes I feel in a way he already did. I know this isn't the forum for voicing it but I don't have anyone else to talk to about this, and seeing as how you've all had shitty weeks, I thought I'd just do my bit and contribute too. *shrugs*

 

Thing is, despite the fact this is a place for game play and fantasizing and drooling and all that, I'm really starting to feel that this 'image' or 'perception/idealised version' I have of Rob here is like the only safe male I know of out there and that all other guys, at least that I know in RL, are all just jerks. Rob's a safe beacon for maledom, but in my view as of late he's the only one, and an idealised viewpoint at that, seeing as how I don't even really know the guy, just really, really, really dig him... *s******s* (poor guy, fan worship gone mad). This sucks... bring on the Rob-shaped food again, I need to gorge myself, drown my sorrows (I know Rob doesn't drink, and as CoBers we should probably emulate this ideal, but even Jews surely have some kind of sacramental wine, right?) *laughs again*

 

PS, congrats broken_angel on your honorary position within the cooking staff here at CoB! *huge hugs* Hope you enjoy and treasure your new spatula and cooking utensils as Meteora so graciously bestowed *hugs to Meteora too* though I'm sure you'll enjoy 'em! (Am hoping you're inspired enough now to restart feast, regardless what number course we're now up to! Let's eat, I'm starved!!!)

 

Oh yeah, as for the 'novelty of the churches' thing - in a word, agreed. But despite the fact I've been a bit distant of late, I've never forgotten about this place, regardless how many others came up around us, and have longed to return to it and wade in the drool and so forth... and here I am. As for the post-count thing, agreed again. Who cares? My goal has always been to enjoy LP, whatever the medium/topic/level, not compete on how many times I can say something about them. (PS, Rob's a rock-god!) Hehehe

 

But well, I'm just glad the powers that be decided to keep the threads like this open, even if they did move them. At least it's still here, and even if only three or four loyal worshippers utilise it, so be it. As long as there's enough Rob-inspired food, images, fantasies and oceans of drool to go around. Lets face it, look at our dear sweet handsome, gorgeous talented lord... *wipes chin of excessive moisture* There's enough of him to go around, at least...

oh em gee, rav! I am so so sorry that happened to you! I know it's not gonna do a lot, maybe even close to nothing, but that's all I can offer. And a listening ear ofcourse, like I'm sure we all have. Are you alright? Oh man, I hope you are...so what are you gonna do now? In my opinion, the smart thing to do would be to tell his wife and save her from the pain that he could surely cause her (by doing it to other women too...who knows, maybe you're not the only one) and the reasonable thing to do, is to forget it and talk to him about it...put him in his place and make him promise not to do it again (it may sound childish, but it works).

 

I wish you all the best with it...you seem like a very strong person, so I'm not worried that you're gonna sulking in your room the whole day. Simply said: shit happens and it's our job to clean it up. Good luck, Rav...I promise we'll be here for you whenever you need us *gives you bourdon-bourbons and a bourdaccino* that'll keep you comforted for a good 15 minutes

Yeah, its hard loosing a pet. Missy was the first and only pet Ive had, and Ive had her since I was about 2 or 3, and Im 14, almost 15 now. Heh...I think Im the youngest in the CoB...

 

And despite the empyness of the church these days, I guess its always good to have a place like this to go to. You guys are like my LPF buddys.

The only places I went are: Aruba (10 minutes from here...with a plane), Bonaire (5 minutes from here...plane), St. Maarten (15 minutes), Holland (9 friggin hours), Amerika (2 or 3 hours...can't remember..like 10 years ago) and some hotels on this shitty island. I think that's it. I wanna go to Prague soooo bad! Where do you wanna go?

I've been to other places too- they were just my main ones. I've been to the US (Florida and Massachuttes [sp?]), Cananda (Niagra Falls), Australia (Sydney and Brisbane), Holland (Amsterdam), Majorca, Ibiza, France (Paris) and Scotland and Wales- but they're not very far away.

 

I'd love to go to Pargue too, it seems so beautiful. I'd love to go to Japan too- and Iceland. I'm going to Oslo, Norway in the October school hols I've been wanting to go to Scandinavia for ages.
