After watching my father die right in front of me I really do beleive that there is a heaven and a hell. However, me and mom think that hell is on earth. I do believe in God, however, I get sick and tired of my friend telling what to beleive in. She even told me just because I had a dream about my father he was wearing all black that he was in hell. I'm big into spirit dreams. I go by my own rules, that's what were here for, right? So, I just tell people following your own path whould show you the truth in your mind

The crucifix, and MANY settings in the Bible have been PROVEN to have either existed or taken place. Now don't get me wrong, their are still ALOT of questions that religion can't show indefinate proof of, but there are alot interesting things that have been proven true.

Gimme a little bit and I'll see if I can find that book written by a dude that set out to prove Christianity was false, and wound up becoming a Christian himself.

Proof? Surely you can perceive what you cannot see? For instance..the wind. The wind is invisible yet you know its there because of the vast effects it has on things like trees..

I look at it this way: God cannot be seen but I can still see his creation everywhere. creation needs a designer just as much as a watch needs a watchmaker.

God could be a he, she, or an it. However, he/she/it is around us watching us. You can't see him, yet, you can feel he/she/it in everthing you touch. You can see he/she/it grand wish right in front of us. Nothing can be told of what is and what not, not until the end of our time.

Just a theory I made up.

This interested me. Now I might be wrong but i'd say you was a christian yet you say God could be a he or she or it. But if God is a spirit he would have no gender as he is God, almighty and distinct from everything and anyone.

Well' date=' of course, have you ever thought that he could come in many different forms.[/quote']

It depends on what you mean. I know he used a burning bush to talk to one fellow from the bible.

Also Satan used a snake to talk to Adam but these are representations. People can see snakes and burning bushes and thats why God used them. He can come as differernt representations on earth so humans can understand, but in heaven would he not remain the same spiritual creature.

Plus doesn't it say in the bible 'do not lean upon your own understanding'? With making that theory you yourself are actually leaning upon your own understanding and not what it says in the bible..think about it.

Well, yeah, I guess so. However, I don't have a true understanding. I guess when some people told me that my father was in hell because he was wearing all black and I couldn't see his face. However, he hugged me and when he did. I felt some comfortable. I just knew it was him. However, when she told me that I got scared. She told me all this stuff just to make me feel bad. And her family is really religious. She told me he had to wear all white in order to be in heaven.

Well obviously they are incorrect. It bugs me when people say they know what the bible teaches when they themselves do not know what it says.

Ask your friend and her relatives this: Where in the bible does it say 'if you dream your father was in all black you get tormented forever in a furnace. They won't be able to give you an answer.

Besides the whole understanding of hell is twisted. Theres direct proof of this when Job actually asked to go to hell (or 'sheol' in origonal translation) to stop his suffering. Now why would any human being want to go to hell if it meant being totured forever? Hell was actually found to be another word for grave which actually sorts alot of stuff.

So have you read about the resurection of dead people in the bible?

That makes a lot of sense thanks a lot. I'll go ask her that. I just can't tell her anything without her saying something. I just no his in no more pain. When you face something like I did. I often don't think. I'll ask her. No, I haven't read it. I haven't had time to read very much or for that matter sleep very rarely. Its been a mouth since everything happen.

You would be right to think he is in no pain. The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, : "The dead know nothing . . . In the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."

Don't let anyone tell you different. Im sorry for your loss. That's why i think the bible is good. It gives people hope like for you to see your dad again in the near future. Maybe i can talk to you another day about it.
