I'm going to point out some things that some COB's will hate me for. Rob is a shit drummer in most LP songs, there are some exclusions though. I can drum a fair majority of his stuff without the fancy intervention of sampling. Don't get me wrong he is hot, but I reckon his stuff his damn well easy to play. Trust me, my bf does year 12 music and he reckons the same, including the guitar/piano work. This also applies to Placebo, The White Stripes and The Smashing Pumpkins (my fav 3 bands). Lol a LP song just came on on my iPod. The real complicated part of LP is the sampling. I dare not to touch that.

 

Yeah with my name I've been through so many phases of fav bands, A Perfect Circle, Linkin Park, Placebo, The Smashing Pumpkins, KoRn etc. but mine is somewhat unique cos i didn't put 'park' on the end of mine. You should be proud of your username, that's what I reckon.

Alas, the legendary creator of COS returns :O And well yeah, it's pretty much impossible to lose your passion for Mike lol. God, I remember it was me who dug up this grave like a year ago. But then after that attempt failed, Jos walked in (literally) two days before this man's birthday (I owe her so much <3) and then we kinda officially revived it on Mike's birthday!!!!! Of course we couldn't have done it without the help of our beloved andrea and her amazing pics (btw I'm sorry you're so busy with school. The COS without your essence is deflating...:[ ) Then trotted along many whom some are very active and some who drop in once every while.

 

Just to be weird, and I'm high right now... so I will acknowledge everyone who have contributed quite significantly to COS AFTER the revival :lol: Because it's definitely been awhile.

They shouldnt hate you, dear woodyloveslinkin. You've all your right to express what you think but, well, on the other hand and from my point of view, excuse me but I believe that If your opinion about Rob isnt as marvellous as other mates think, you shouldnt say adjectives like "he's a shit as a drummer". Well, I dont know it, but LP has never given him the opportunity to demonstrate if he's a new John Bonham... how many solos has he played? Not many. Sometimes even for Mike, he find some problems with the lyrics and the rythm of the songs bc he'd like to rap more frequently. Maybe for this reason, he created "Fort Minor". I'm supposing. I dont know it certainly. He never told me this.

And, well, yeah, he's hot but I think we should value him for the job he does firstly. I do it in Mike's case. I value first his quality as a artist. Then, I think about his personal attractive (well, sometimes, but not very frequently, I change the order... I'M NOT PERFECT ). but this is me...

No it is pretty true. Most of the instrumental parts for LP is pretty easy. But then again something doesn't have to be difficult to sound amazing. Like the Ode to Joy by Beethoven had an extremely simple theme, but it went down history and was used by many occasions because it sounded good. And yes, the sampling is an intricate part of LP's music.
