I'd hoped that this would go a little more smoothly, but everyone's got their own opinions...

 

I honestly don't know how to reply. I'd planned on some long reply, getting all of my thoughts out... But I now realize that will do little good. It will go largely ignored or picked apart in many replies and the last thing I want to do is to have to reply over and over again with the same ideas.

 

I'll continue doing what I feel is right. You guys do the same.

wehn were finished you guys will have nothing rare to trade, therefore, the trading market will be gone. so far i have a total over 100+ shows at my finger tips and a crew of about 20-25 people.

I do feel the need to explain this, just one last time because I think the message has gotten twisted a bit.

 

I'm not against trading. It's necessary in some cases and I do not have anything against it. My problem is with rarity. Why is it that so few people have lossless shows? Why is it that it took months for Mountain View to get released? Why is it that the Xero show has never been released? Because someone put a higher value on them than they should have.

 

We're all here for the same reason - to support/promote a band we like. How many shows have we heard Mike utter the words 'Download that shit' ? Think he'd want us to keep shows to ourselves? Think he'd want someone to pass out a show at 128kbps in mp3 format when we have a lossless version of the show?

 

We all know the answer.

 

I'm not trying to change anything. I've been giving out audio/video/shows for months now to different people. The LPF members have been a major benefactor from this and I've been happy to share with every file with each and every one of you.

 

I'll take this moment to apologize for anyone who I may have offended by my actions. In no way am I trying to start a war between traders. I'm merely trying to help this community become a better one. There's always room for a community to grow. I can only hope that this message is actually heard and understood.

I won't be offering any shows for download, I won't be trading them, won't be collecting them anymore. It's becoming increasigly clear that I made a terrible decision and this seems to be the only thing I can do.

that's it, i can't do anything else, all you oversensitive people blinded by your arrogance, have gone too far, your 'valuable' media, all you are doing is becoming far too hostile over something as simple as a song, be it 4000, or 40000 songs, no matter what, it was made to entertain, not to cause this, why are you so mad about this? is it because now YOU aren't one of 17 who get to listen to a track now? this is all BS, we all collected media, not to COMPETE, but to enjoy the songs, bet it Jeff, or someone new to LP, Jeff, did you collect ONLY to keep the music from everyone? if so, WHY? you didn't just get all that out of nowhere, you didn't go to every concert with a video camera yourself did you? why make it impossible to get?

Okay, well, I have to get this out.

 

I first started trading because I thought it would help 'make new friends' while also building up my Linkin Park media. I do believe in letting everyone hear it, so I openly give away pretty much anything I have, because as far as I can tell, I have no rare shit, because all I really have is common shit that you gewt from Linkin-Inside & all those sites, so nobody ever wanted to do real trades with me, I was reduced to getting handouts from generous people like, Hahninator, donbyers, & people like that. Yes, I am grateful, thanks to everryone that has take the time to respond to me when I ask. I can see what you guys are doing in this venture, & it may not even effect the 'big' traders, but for the lowly person with the common of the common, we're pretty much screwed, becase as you do this & give out 'rare' shows & shit, the fact that you are handing them out publicly greatly reduces the rarity of it, so, as I go & get it, I'm not getting anything better than what I have now. Sure, it's a new show, but if everyone has it, it's only good for listening to.

Well, in conclusion, I am just going to say, if you feel like this is goingto crumble the trader market for everyone, you're wrong, it will destroy it for the low ones like me, but for the people that can constantly get new & rare stuff, all it will do is put a dent in there plan.

I want the LP 'trade market' to crumble, it's a load of crap, all shows are good for is listening to, or watching, if it's getting you another show,guess what? it's still just music, someone along the line WAS generous enough to give or at LEAST trade, it's all bull that you put a value of more than $15.95 on 15-20 tracks, the rarity of a show should not be more than any other, it's still 15-20 songs, LP sets 15-20 songs at a price of about $15, not at a cost of someone's hard drive... noone gets it, this hostility towards good people is just ruining the LP community, if you're still high on a cloud "oh i got this show, you'll never upload that" blame it on Nick, as long at the civilised people understand that this isn't Nick's fault, i have succeeded, but it you're to arrogant to believe that Nick was just being a good person, you shouldn't have the honor of any media from such a good band
