I would like to have a clean break which will involve the sale of the house. From the proceeds of the sale (the house we have recently had valued ca. 950,000) I would like to have 600,000. This would ensure that Sygaellene and I would have a good house in a safe neighbourhood and that she would not feel too reduced from her current circumstances. Sygaellene has, over the past years been subject to abuse from my husband. To a certain extent this has affected her behaviour and personality. She is prone to depression and at the age of 13 has a serious problem with self-mutilation. She is currently visiting a psychologist on a weekly basis. I therefore chose an area that she has some affinity with having visited a close friend there over the years and also has she virtually lived at Crystal Palace up to the age of 7: she insisted that we visited the dinosaur park and the maze in the grounds at least once every two months. In short, the area is not too removed from her context of a safe place and fund place. This I believe, given her vulnerability, with mitigate the sense of loss she has expressed once or twice about leaving her own house.

 

As I am not asking for a share in his pension or for maintenance (maintenance will also be asked for if he refuses the 600,000 and to this end I have completed the maintenance section of the form just in case), this 600,000 would facilitate a clean break without the hassles of me constantly have to go to him or wait on my maintenance check to come through. This would allow me to have some autonomy and peace in my life.

 

Likewise, I would like Paul to continue paying 100% for Sygaellene’s schooling fees until age 16. After that, I would like him to pay 50% of her school fees up to post-graduate school. The rest will be paid by me.
