Stenners Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Yeah I agree Hahninator! There is something about HT that makes it stand out more than Meteora. Plus, Hybrid Theory was more successful than Meteora. Meaning more people WORLDWIDE like HT more Hybrid Theory was so succesful *psssh come here i will tell u something* BECAUSE PEOPLE BAUGHT ANYTHING NU-METAL BACK THEN! The success of an album don't mean shit it was just the thing to listen too back then...... + Internet downloads werent as big a problem in 2001 as it would be in 2003 with more peer 2 peer programs and more broadband connections. 1 Quote Delete my account, the is no reason why it should be against standard procediure, do it do it do it. Or LPF Sessions 3 leaks before it's done and Spoilers will be posted for every film release. Not to mention periodic troll invasions.

That is very true Stenners. But it is also a well known fact that Linkin Park had alot more "casual" fans with Hybrid Theory, than with Meteora. I love both albums to death, but Hybrid Theory holds a special place in my heart. Besides, last time I checked, Meteora sold 4 million, and HT sold 10 million. Thats definatly a big gap. But oh well, Stenners has quite a valid point. I still say that Meteora isn't all that more mature than Hybrid Theory. 1 Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/43e69772bb6f13028179fe6b2776b7f6.jpg [broken External Image]:http://hahninator.sotrix.net/lpliveguide/cutenews/data/upimages/lplive.jpg
Hahninator Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 A couple of those million you have to realize probably downloaded it from the web.... Meteora was leaked online a week before it was released, and everyone jumped at it :O HT was special because LP toured like fucking crazy in 2000 before it was released. All the fans were awaiting the album lol who cares about the kind of music people listened to back in 01 compared to 03. I think the loss of the number of buyers is because of the huge gap inbetween albums, or even because Reanimation was released :O I expect the next LP album to sell even less than Meteora. That's my 2 cents. Quote
By_My-elf Posted November 1, 2005 Author Posted November 1, 2005 yeah I have to agree with you Hahninator Quote [broken External Image]:http://img87.imageshack.us/my.php?image=signature002jo8.jpg Can't get my sig to work
Stenners Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 No no no Hahninator music trends do very much effect sales 2001- Nu Metal was cool Cool kids listend to the music People wanting to be cool buy the music to look cool People who think the kids who want to look cool look cool so they buy the music to make them look cool. Now add those countless amounts of pop/trend drones to the Genuine fans then u got urself a hit record mr. Right now its Urban, Urban sales are huge right now way higher then that of say 2000. Blaze Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I prefer Meteora above all other albums. It has a great meaning to me, like By-My-$elf, i relate to the songs also. The music also sounds better, lyrics arent as catchy as in Hybrid Theory, but still are great and with strong meaning, gives lots of inpsiration too, well at least to me, when needed Quote

LnknPrkFan1988 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Personally I like Meteora but I like Live in Texas almost as much because it has some of the older songs on it too.
