LPGirl Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 um.. i think as long as you dont make money from it, thats its ok Quote
Friðbjörn Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Well it was off an album by HBMS...it's not like a mixtape song But I don't remember anyone complaining about it being heavily distributed over the internet. Doesn't really matter, no one's going to find out about this...at least no one who will have a problem with it lol Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
DJ BloodFrost Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 US copyright laws (I hope you live in the US) state that you may use up to 30 seconds of copyrighted audio material for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES only without securing a copyright license. Using over 30 seconds of such audio is copyright infringement. Quote [broken External Image]:http://xerofocusstudios.com/xfs_lpf.png Frost. Here's the deal. Either you give us an EP now' date=' or I kill Mark and all the hot ladies in the world...you pick. [/quote']
Stenners Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 30seconds thing is usualy used to promote songs on websites. You may not distribute, broadcast, display or sell copyrighted material without the creators permission. Quote Delete my account, the is no reason why it should be against standard procediure, do it do it do it. Or LPF Sessions 3 leaks before it's done and Spoilers will be posted for every film release. Not to mention periodic troll invasions.
DJ BloodFrost Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 30seconds thing is usualy used to promote songs on websites. True, but it can also be used by educational systems. The only reason I know that is because one of my teachers used some band's audio (can't remember the name) during one of her presentations, and I asked if that was legal. UnhingedMouse0 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 First off, yeah it is copyrighted, like Fribs said, its off the Handsome Boy Modeling School album. it's not like a mixtape song Second of all, I believe that most mixtape songs are copyrighted in one way or another too. Third, if you didnt come on here and tell the whole world that you were going to use it, then no one would ever know/care. As long as you dont say that its yours and you dont make any money off it, I say, go ahead and use it, just make sure that you give them credit. Quote [ R.I.P. LPF ]
