Toxic1 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I just watched the "The Great Escape" video. While the video had a couple of funny moments and the song had a fun dancey vibe, the solo was forced and terrible. Listening to "Nobody Move Nobody" and this song blows. And finally "It's A Hit". Boring. The guitars are so unimaginative and hooks are few and far between. Even though I cooled off on Bloc Party a bunch, I still think they are the present kings of dancey post punk music. And in fact they are supposedly going the Radiohead route ala rocking experimental music which I would welcome. And their guitarists are very freaking good as well. I was curious to see how We Are Scientists did on metacritic.com and they got a kinda average score. Nothing above an 83. No surprise to me. Virgin Records flavour of the month band.
