My Version of our LPF family!

I have been really tired with finals... but they are all over. so here is a little bit more, I havent been able to write a lot

Later that night, Vi broke into my room to talk to me. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I asked when he picked my lock. “Okay, lets get this straight,” he said while staring at my pictures and posters of my father. “Get what straight?” I asked, attempting to be innocent. “Oh, don’t play dumb with me! I know you’ve been sneaking out at night to go sing with your band!” he said after he turned up my stereo so that nobody could hear us. “How the hell do you know that?!” I asked. He kept staring at me. “I know because I watched you sneak out a few nights ago and I answered your cell phone last night while you were sleeping. It was some dude calling to ask when the next practice was. I’m not stupid, so I put two and two together.”

 

I stood there in shock. He knew. He has known for day yet he didn’t tell mum or Rob. “Why didn’t you tell on me?” He laughed a bit. “Because I’m your big brother whether you like it or not. I’m not about to rat you out yet. I just wanna know why you haven’t told anyone yet?” He said.

Man, was starting to think no one was ever gonna update *sob* but even though it's a little bit I'm still thankful for it. *squeeze hugs*

It's nice to see Viking taking on that role with you - he could be a jerk but he's more understanding than that. Sweet. The band, huh? I'm wondering why keeping that secret so hidden is such a big deal - is it because she thinks no one cares or that maybe they'll make fun of her (because she isn't a drummer/percussionist like almost everyone else?)

Anyway, sweet. Love the update. You know I do.

Okay kiddies! Here's what i came up with in a matter of 20 mins!

“I haven’t told anyone yet cause everyone here plays the drums like Rob, how do you think they will take me singing?! I am already the odd one in the family.” I replied. “Besides, I’m not the only one whom is sneaking out! Zelda is sneaking out from Joes’ place to go to practice too! She loves to play the guitar and sing with me! So, I hope to all hell that you wont tell nobody yet till our opening show. Please Vi?” I begged. He sighed. “Alright, but next time you have practice, you’re gonna take me with you so I can see if keeping this secret is worth it!” he smiled at me, and for once, I felt like me and Vi were really connecting. I knew that he wouldn’t tell Rob and in a reaction Rob would most likely start yelling at me for reasons that I don’t even know.

Vi turned around to walk out, then I spoke again, “Thanks again for not telling on me.” It took everything in myself to thank him and I hoped that I wouldn’t have to do something like that for a long time. He turned to face me, smiled, and said, “No problem squirt.” Then he left my room. I decided to go see what the rest of my family was doing in the living room. I walked slowly and quietly into the living room/family room. I was still in the shadows of the hall to the bedrooms and heard a fight break out between my mother and Rob. “Rob, you have to at least try to get to know Fox! She is apart of this family too and you should try to get to know her! Hell! You might even find that you and her have something in common!” my mom yelled. “Don’t tell me what to do Rav! She is the freak around here! Why should I try to get to know her?!” Rob yelled back. Mel saw me, listening to this fight, and attempted to stop the madness. “Mom” she said, “I think you guys should stop now. What if Fox hears you?” She asked as tears flooded to my eyes. “She wont hear us,” said Rob, “She is in her room blasting music.” I was in tears now; I couldn’t believe what I heard. “So, is that what you think of me! That I am the freak of the family?” I screamed at him. “You have now idea what I have to put up with around here! If you don’t want me in this family FINE! I’ll leave,” and I stormed off to my room to fetch my messenger bag with everything I’d need for a few days.

Cool! And cool - you came up with that in 20mins? Sweet!

Man - Rob's a jerk - if anything that's one element we all have in common here, amid all our stories. Though I have to say, be it in his defence, sucking up/kissing his ass or however you want to see it, he isn't really the guilty party in all this. If anything that guilty party would be me - cause I'm the one that 'cheated.' He's like everyone else and just has to deal with it... but he's clearly not coping with it and aparently never has/wanted to deal with it.

Having said that, everyone's suffering here. Rav for her guilt, Rob for his betrayal, the kids (cause the tension that creates in the house) and Fox, cause she's the one feeling left out and not wanted no matter which way she turns. *sob* Poor bugger.

Anyway, great. The relationship she's forging with Viking is nice too, good to see she's got an ally in someone. I can't wait to see where this goes, being that it's a POV that none of us have dealt with in great detail, and I wanna see the family dynamic with Chester and Fox and Chester and everyone else for that matter... hmmm... great stuff! Thanks!

I could hear Rav yelling at her husband again. “Why did you say that Robert?! You know how much she has to deal with already, and now you’re calling her a Freak?” Rob said something back to her that I couldn’t hear. I was in my room, getting my messenger bag, and then I got my motorcycle keys that I was to get on my birthday, I figure that it’s close enough to it. I went back to the living room and stared at my mother, “Don’t expect me back anytime soon.” I walked on to the door at the back of the kitchen that leads to the garage where my awesome bike stood. It was black with red streaks of what looked to be lighting. I started it up, gave it some gas, then the lights turned on in the garage.

I looked up to see Vi standing in the doorway. “What do you want? I’m leaving, nobody wants me here anyways.” I said to him, I kinda felt bad because we had just gotten a little closer, and now this. “I’m not here to stop you, I’m here to say that you are not a freak to me, you are just you. Also that I’m sorry for what Rob said.” He said with a sort of sad smile. He opened the garage door with the button from the side of the wall. “Be careful little sis okay?” he said. I nodded to him, I didn’t want to make myself feel worse than I already did, I didn’t want to leave him there to deal with our family by himself. I gave it more gas, and I was off.

While I was on the road, a noticed a car was following me, so I slowed down so I could see who it was. The car pulled up beside me, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. My father, my REAL father, Chester, was there. He was the one following me. “Hey there Fox. What are you doing so far from your moms home?” he asked. “I ran away. They didn’t want a Freak living there anymore. Rob called my a freak, so I walked.” I said, not looking my father in the eyes. Oh, what does he think of his daughter now, running away like this? “He called you a freak? Wow, no wonder you ran away. Say! Cheer up! Daddy’s here!” He said with a warming smile. I haven’t heard him say “daddy” in forever. He only said it to me when I was sad I smiled; I couldn’t help it. “What do you say to coming and staying with me for a little while. Just till you and they cool off. Don’t worry,” he said when he saw worry in my face, “I’ll work it out. Follow me back to the house.” I obeyed.

When we arrived at his house, he said, “Don’t worry, She’s not here, she went to visit her parents for a few weeks. So you don’t have to worry.” I parked my motorcycle in his garage next to his car. “Um, dad. I need to tell you something.” I said, I had decided to tell him that I was in a band, taking after him and singing my heart out. “Yes? What is it?” he said with a smile still on his face. “Well, I am in a band, and I sing, like you do.” He smiled, he seemed like he was glowing. “Really! That’s great! Can you do everything like me? Wow! This is awesome!” I was so relived that he liked me singing. “Yes, I can match you perfectly. I practice in my room, they cant tell that I’m singing because I have my music on all the time and you cant tell that I’m singing because I match your voice.” I said; he seemed ecstatic. “This is great! Well! You know what this means?” he asked. I shook my head ‘no’. “This means that I’m taking you to the studio tomorrow. We shall see how good you are compared to your old man.” He laughed. “So you are gonna have to rest your voice tonight, you’ll need it!” and he was off.

 

 

 

 

I couldn’t believe my luck. My dad had found me and taken me in. He is pleased that I am singing, and I couldn’t be happier. Chester was on the phone now, with my mom or Rob I guess. “No, she is fine. Yes, she is here. I don’t think you should talk to her. Yes, she is going to stay with me till she wants to go home. Send Vi over with her clothes. No, she won’t change her mind. Thanks. Bye.” He turned around and said to me, “That was your mum. She’s worried sick, but don’t worry! I got her calmed down. Vi is coming over tonight with some of your clothes.” He walked to the calendar, “Hey! Your birthday is coming up right? Next week! I know just the thing to get you for your birthday! Plus you’ll be getting it tomorrow after you sing for me.” He grinned a somewhat mischievous smile, but I liked it.

He walked upstairs with me trailing behind him. He showed me where my old room was, but he redecorated it for me. It now had posters galore, posters of Linkin Park, pictures of Him and me when I was little. It was painted black, and red. “Your mum told me your room over there was like this, so I figured that you could have it that way here too.” I was in shock. He had made me a perfect room. “Thanks dad!” is all I could say. My room had everything. Everything I’d ever want. An awesome stereo system, all the cds I could possibly want. My dad even put a plaque up saying ‘Number One Daughter’. I have had that since I was 9, and I wasn’t about to take it down. It was already 4am, and I was tired. “Good night dad, and thanks for everything.” I said to him. He smiled at me again, “No problem kiddo. You are always welcome here!” he gave me a hug, kissed my forehead, and said good night.

I slept soundly. Apparently Vi came over at 5am to drop off my stuff. I fell sleep to my fathers voice on ‘One Step Closer’ on repeat. I dreamt like I never did before. All was well for me. For once, I didn’t have to worry about anything. When I got up, Chester was up already. He looked up at me in my Linkin Park shirt and smiled. “You don’t like that band do you?” he asked innocently. I laughed. “Naw, I think they suck.” I said while laughing. “Do you have any Pizza?” I asked. “Of course I do! The microwave is over there,” he said pointing to the microwave. I got some Pepperoni Pizza and nuked it. I ate quietly then asked, “So what is this that I am getting for my birthday?” he grinned. “You’ll just have to wait and see.” I sighed. I wasn’t going to get anything out of him. He told me to go upstairs and get ready for the studio.

I ran upstairs and looked at the suitcase that Vi had brought earlier for me. Yes! He had packed my red and black cargo pants and my black Tank Top. I couldn’t wear anything tight or else I might not be able to sing correctly. I ran back downstairs to find my father ready to leave. I stopped. He sighed. “Don’t worry, Rob wont be there for a few days. That mother of yours has him on House Arrest. The others will be there but not Rob.” He said with a smile. I continued to the garage. He told me not to ride my Bike, that I should ride with him. I obeyed again.

At the studio, he told me to wait in a room. He left me there, and I saw the x-box was set up in there. At once, loads of memories came flooding back to me of when I was younger and I would sit here waiting on my father to be done. Now, I didn’t know why I was waiting. Chester came back and I walked by Mike and the others, they all said, “Good luck Fox!” and was acting like cheerleaders. I couldn’t help but laugh. Chester looked back at them and said, “Yo Mike, start the recording of One Step Closer for little foxxy here. She is going to sing for ya’ll.”

 

Mike switched a few things and said, “Ready when you are Chaz. Good luck Fox.” Chester and me put on the headphones and stood facing each other. My father nodded to me, I gave him the Thumbs up, and then he nodded to Mike. I heard the song ringing in my ears. I started to sing with him. I matched him perfectly on every part of the song; all of it. When I was done, everyone gave me a big hug and then Chester said to the guys, “Next week is Fox’s birthday, so tonight we are giving her a great 16th birthday present! Guys, meet me there in an hour.” They all nodded and left. This sucked. They all knew what I was getting but me. For an hour, Chester took me to Hot Topic to get new clothes. Man, that was awesome by its self.

After the hour was up, we ended up at a tattoo parlor. “Tonight Fox, you’re getting your first tattoo. That’s your birthday present.” He said as we were walking up to the door. “Really? Sweet.” Is the only thing I could say. I have wanted a tattoo for almost two years now. When we walked in, Chester said hi to the band, and took me to the tattoo artist. “Well Fox, I’ve heard a lot about you. What do you want tonight?” he asked. I looked at my dad, and said, “A tribal Dragon with blue flames. It’s going on my Shoulder to my arm.” Chester smiled. “Alright. Just give me a few to draw It. Oh, and the name’s Dean,” said Dean. “Nice to meet you.” I said. After a few hours at the tattoo parlor, I had my first tattoo. The whole band but Rob was there. I guess it was important to them to be there for my support or something.

“Thanks dad! Thanks guys! This is the best thing I have ever gotten!” I said. “Well, it’s a good thing that you don’t play the drums or else you wouldn’t be able to play for weeks.” Said Mike. We all laughed. “Say! Why don’t we go get some ice cream? I’m in the mood for ice cream. Anyone else?” said my dad. We all agreed to get ice cream.
