~~The city~~

 

I spent the daytime hours under a bridge in the city, and it was a surprisingly good day of rest for me. I woke up to the sounds of a truck speeding overhead on the pothole filled cement. My neck hurt a little bit from leaning up against my bike, but other than that, I was fine. I dove into my messenger bag to get my cell phone. 33 missed calls. All from Rob, Rav, or Mike. I let out a sigh. I knew that they would be searching the whole city for me, from top to bottom; every little crack and shadow will be searched. I have to keep moving in order to stay unnoticed. I got up from the dirty ground and dusted myself off. I looked up to find myself sad that the city lights blocked out the beautiful lights of the moon and stars. I started to think of Mel, of how she’d love to see the moon on some hill, and then shook the thoughts from my head. I started my bike and drove up the incline to the road. Maybe I should go to that new Teen Club downtown I thought to myself. I agreed with myself and headed down to the brand new club exclusively open to Teens. I started the bike and I was off to hopefully drone out the pain in my head.

 

~~The city… across town~~

 

Chester was waiting on the hood of his car, looking for any sign of his band mates. A van rolled up next to him and the side door opened to reveal Rob and Mike. “Dude, we looked everywhere. I don’t know where she could’ve gone to.” Said Mike to the tall, slender blonde leaning on his car now. “I have and idea where she could’ve gone.” Said Rob after a few moments of silent thinking of the whereabouts of Fox. Chester and Mike looked at him, awaiting an answer. “They opened a new club a few days ago, a TEEN ONLY club. Ya know, the kind teens can hang out at.” He said with a grin. Chester broke a wicked smile, “I’ll get her.” Then Rob jumped out of the car to stop him, “No Chaz. I’m gonna bring her back. I have to do this. Besides. Knowing you, you’d most likely not come back and just hang there yourself acting like a teen that looks like the infamous Chester Bennington.” Chaz broke out in laughter as well as Mike. “Yea, that’s true. Just don’t hurt her okay?” Rob didn’t answer. He couldn’t. Knowing Fox, she’d put up one hell of a fight against Rob, and he wasn’t going to let her off.

An interesting dynamic happening there, watching Chester as Fox's father step back in essence to let Rob, Fox's "other" father step up to fill his shoes. Hmm. It's good. I'm wondering how it'll go at the club. Though Rob certainly doesn't get as much attention as Chester Bennington would rocking up to a Teens only club, I'm still thinking he'd stand out somewhat obviously...

Interested to see what happens next... will there be a showdown or a peaceful truce?? Have to wait and see... dagnammit!

Excellent, as always. Only issue I have with it is there's never enough, but then again, you can't just sit at the comp whenever you want, I understand that. Pity.

~~Club Teen, Downtown LA~~

 

I waited in line outside the newest club for teens. I was bored and this was the only good thing to do at the time. I knew I was going to get caught by Chester, or even worse, Rob. I knew it and I wasn’t gonna deny it. Though I needed some time to adapt to being even more of a freak than I was before I turned. Now I really was the family freak, and I hated it. I hated that fact that everyone knew me as ‘The Freak’ or ‘The Mistake’. Nobody but my closest friends and family really called me by my name, but now, now that I was stronger than I ever was before as a vampire; I’ll change how they see me. Now, I decided as I walked slowly through the line, now they WILL come to know fear when they hear the name ‘Fox’. I was at the front of the line now and the bouncer looked me over, from my combat boots, to my leather trench, to my newly dyed Blood Red hair. “ID?” he grunted. I tugged on my chain and out came my wallet from my back pocket. I opened it to the ID of me, and he took it, and studied the last name. I glared at him, daring him to mention something about my ‘father’. “Go ahead in Ms. Fox.” I walked right in as a reply to his acceptance.

 

Inside the so-called ‘club’ was loud, dark, and pulsing; a perfect place for me to think. I looked around and saw the bouncer talking to another bouncer. I strained my ears to hear what he was saying. “See that girl over there? That mean looking one? She’s the daughter of Rob Bourdon! Giver that new VIP roped off room!” whispered the first Bouncer. The other one glanced at me as I stood there listening, “You sure?” he asked. The first one nodded and went back to his post. The new bouncer walked over to me. “Uh, excuse me Ms. Bourbon?” I nodded. “I can show you to the a VIP room if you like.” I glared around. “Is it loud?” He looked uneasily around. “Only if you want it to be.” I grinned wickedly. “Good, crank up some good music when I get there.” He started off to a distant room, and I slowly followed, surveying my surroundings.

As I walked into the VIP room, somebody spotted me and turned on Linkin Park because of Rob. I attempted to ignore the songs that held my true fathers screaming voice but it was hard to do since everybody now knew that I was Chaz’s daughter. People came rushing to me, attempting to get some kind of idea what was going on with my fathers. I ignored them until about 15minutes later when the crowd parted and got quiet to show Rob striding coolly up to the VIP room, looking more pissed than ever. His features were all red with anger, and he didn’t take his bloodshot eyes off of me. “Fox, what the hell do you think you were doing? Running away from home like that!? Damn Fox, your mother nearly had a heart attack! We have been looking for you for 20 hours straight! Get off your ass Fox! We are Leaving!” he screamed. I wasn’t afraid of him anymore because I knew I could take whatever he gave out, but I didn’t move a muscle. “No. I’m not going. I’m waiting for my DAD to come get me and I’m not leaving till he does.” I said slyly. Robs’ neck showed bulging veins that nearly popped outta his neck, but I still didn’t move. “I AM your father Fox! I’m the one who raised you for almost sixteen fucking years! Where was Chester during that time eh?” he growled. At this I stood up and looked up into Robs’ eyes. There were caring thoughts through the anger. He really cared about me. I sighed and walked past Rob and out to the road, where when Rob was busy signing autographs, I slipped out of sight and into the darkness once more, hopefully he wouldn’t find me so easily next time.

“What do you mean you LOST her?” screamed Rav at Rob, whom was sitting at the kitchen table with his head in his hands. “I don’t know what happened Rav! One minute she was walking out to the car, and as soon as I turn to give a few autographs away, she’s gone!” he answered. Rav froze in mid-stride. She looked pale and pissed. “You signed autographs while you were getting Fox??!??? What the hell were you thinking?! She most likely ran off because you were signing autographs!!! You care more about your freaking career than your family!” Rob looked straight at his wife. “I do NOT care more about my career than I do about you guys. I love you all.” Rav was about to say something when the phone ringing interrupted her. It was Chester. “Hello Chester. No we don’t have her. Rob went to the club and everything went fine, but then he lost her again. No, there is no need for that Chester, we’ll get her. No, don’t do that. Alright, fine have it your way.” Click, she hung up the phone and looked at her husband. “Great, now Chester is going to take it upon himself to find Fox.” At that moment, Mel walked into the room where Rob and Rav were. She was dressed as if she was going out. Rav looked at her. “Where do you think your going young lady?” Mel stared daringly back at her mother. “Chester called my cell phone before he called you. He wants my help with finding my stupid sister. I told him I’d be happy to help, and there is nothing you can do to stop me.” And with that, she walked out the door to a car that was waiting outside. Rav ran so fast to the window to see whom it was, that she almost knocked over Rob. She peered outside and saw Mel getting into a car with Chester at the wheel. “Damn it. Damn it all to hell. Now I have to worry about both of them.”
