.hP. Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Ok this is going to be long...sorry. On the 5th of March 2006 I had a life changing experience. Something that I thought would never happen in all my life. Something that HAS happened but has yet seemed to sink in. It all began at about 4:10pm when I finally made my way to the Palace for the long wait before the Fort Minor Concert. Before the Show: Okies so the first person I see when we arrive is Ben aka Slats. I had been talking to Ben on the net for a little while before the show and was looking forward to meeting him. And just as I had thought, he was oh, and still is an awesome as guy!! Haha who really shows his true colours when he has had a few LMAO!! He had dirty water from Botswana!!! And a FM Maccas cup that got confiscated Well I made some new friends in the time I spent in the line. Mind you that line DID NOT grow very long. SHAME ON YOU MELBOURNE!!! Anyways back to the friends I made. Kym. Lovely chick. Mad fort minor fan, so mad that she went to the Sydney show aswell. Kudos to Kym!! Nat, from Sweden….she’s a hottie!! Really nice chick and well keep in contact with her for sure!! Also met some other randoms, one who actually goes to the same uni as me haha what a small world!!! Right so we all spent about lets say 4 hours in line before they even considered opening the doors. Within the four hours we saw the merchandise rock up and these stupid street people from the FOX radio station. Don’t get me started on them. For Christ’s sake how stupid could you be. I mean it really is cool to come to the Fort Minor concert and stand in front of the line of TICKET HOLDERS and announce that you have like 100 FREE TICKETS to give away….wankers! Anywhoo, after much deliberation I decided to give them my burnt copy of fort minor – the rising tied to put in their cd player of the car. OMA!! You would think that the fucking fox would have pimped out cars right….WORNG!! They turned it up the loudest it would go and we still couldn’t hear it lol. Even Cams (my ex) tiny swift has a better system At about 6 these two chicks came out and started to hand out the meet and greet passes. Kinda was a tease lol coz we still had 2 fucking hours to wait!! But yeah the meet and greet pass was different to what I had imagined it as. It basically says Fort Minor Militia Meet and Greet on a army camo piece of fabric that was to be stuck to our clothing in ‘plain view’. At the bottom they all had HBC written on them. I will explain what HBC stands for later. So I will fast forward to the opening of the doors. Tada! At approximately 8pm they started letting people in through the doors. Woot! I was the second….yes the second person to get in! (oh apart from all those ‘special guest’, pffft who needs special guests these days!!! :o ) As soon as we got in it was straight to the merch table, that was stashed away under the stairs lol. Bought a hoodie for $60, which is hot. Pretty reasonable price too, if you ask me. Meet and Greet was kick arse. Got my fave poster signed. Mum is going to frame it for me so I will be able to keep it forages!!!!! And I got hugs and kisses on it from Holly lmao!! I think she freaked when I asked for them!! Show: Anywhoo, concert absolutely rocked. I mean it went fucking off!! Although it wasn’t sold out, the medium sized crowed supposedly made more noise then the other Australian crowds who were twice the size. I haven’t got the set list but my fave songs were played. High road, Red to Black, RTN, Believe Me and Where’d You Go? (with the hot Holly Brook!!) There was a special occasion that night too. It happened to be Cheapshot’s BIRTHDAY!! During the meet and greet I did wish him a happy birthday and he thought that was kind So that’s what the HBC stood for, Happy Birthday Cheapshot! Lol. During the show, they had an interval where they bought out Jack Daniels and had shots. Also there was a birthday cake for Cheapshot which thanks to the birthday boy ended up in the crowd lol (after he had smothered it all over his own face ) Mike then got the crowd to sing happy birthday to him, but….there was a twist. Instead of saying Happy birthday to Cheapshot, we were asked to say Happy Birthday you arsehole!!! Was very hilarious. :thumbsup: So after I had done my bit moshing and going wild to my fave songs, the show came to a close lol. Mike being the guy he is, stayed behind for geez about nearly an hour to sign stuff for his fans. People were going crazy. Some chick got her licence signed. A guy his wallet. I got my meet and greet tag signed by the whole band (they all stayed back) and I asked Mike if I could touch his head….because….the little bugger had shaved all his hair off!! So I rubbed his fuzzy head YEY! Oh and then I kinda started a chain reaction lol, he got swamped! I really had a lot to tell Mike, but never really got the time. However I managed to tell him that he is a musical angle and that it was his music that saved my life at one point. Yes people I tried to end my life once but Linkin Park and Mike made me realise that I wasn’t the only one alone in the world that had problems. As I was saying this to Mike, I hear a voice yelling to me. ‘Hey! What’s your name?!’ To my complete and utter surprise it was Jim, Linkin Park and Fort Minors tour manager. The man of the show organisation. The one responsible for Cheapshot’s drunken performance as he was handing out Jack Daniels shots to them all through out the show lol. So basically this was the conversation between myself and Jim as I remember it. Jim: ‘Hey! What’s your name?!’ Me: ‘Kylie!!!’ Jim: ‘Kool, so you like Mike’s new music?!’ ME: ‘FUCK YEAH!! Its so him. His roots, his soul…that shit saves lives. He saves lives!!’ Jim: ‘You know what, you’re a great person. Here have this *passes me yellow card thing* Me: ‘Hey thanks!!’ After that Jim walked off and I was left staring blankly at this yellow sticker that had COMO written on it as well as AFTER. After about 5 mins it dawned on me that what I was holding was infact an AFTERSHOW PASS!! I freaked…started crying almost, went wild. I turned around to my mate Cam and started rambling something like this… ‘ cam cam omg this is a omg cam I cant believe it I fucking have a omg cam AFTER PARTYYYYYY!!!!!!’ I have to skip a bit that happened so that this doesn’t turn out to be forages long, coz it already is lol Basically just spoke more with Mike, Cheapshot, Ryu and hugged Tak who was soaking with sweat lol. After Party: Well I managed, along with Nat from Sweden, to get everyone that I went with into the after party. That included myself, Cam, Brenton, Dani and Ben and Nat. Weow…the life changing experience. I could go on forages about every little detail but I’ll try to keep it short. Basically I will dot point the events and you can ask questions if you feel the need. Arrived and bought myself a drink (midori), mingled with Tak for a bit Started speaking to Jim for about 30 mins. Got all the gossip on LP and their new album Watched Cheapshot walk around proudly with his $200 bottle of grog that Ryu bought him for his birthday. Spoke to a Julian…really nice guy. Spoke about how much Melbourne reminded him of LA. Jim bought me a drink and told me not to forget him lol. JACKS AND COKE! Cheapshot bought me a drink…MIDORI!!! Ate food (getting pissed at this point) Spoke to Cheapshot and asked him if he was sick of signing peoples clothes. Of course he said no. Then I asked if I could sign his shirt lol. Relatively wasted he said yes. I did so. Something along the lines of ‘happy birthday cheap. Have a nice life. Love Kylie xxx’ Jim came over and dacked Cheap. I signed Cheapshot’s arse and then Cheap went off at Jim LOL. Went outside hotel and hung with Cheap and Ryu. Played truth and dare. Took pics. Rang a chick that left her number written on Cheap’s arm…he was sooo funny. I took his shirt off to show him I signed it =P Haha Ryu thought I was going to take it. Went back inside and ate more. Tried to get Mikes attention but he was too busy with his wife and was so heavily guarded it wasn't funny lol. VIP lounge lol. He ended up leaving about 2am to go to his room with his wife. It was a blessing just being in the same room as the great man. Only about 15 fans got in Spoke to Beatdown. OH OH Spoke to HOLLY BROOK!!! She is so hot!! I heart her! It was pretty funny. She was meandering around with this blow up balloon boobs. So I walked up to her and started conversation. She is a beautiful person. Kind hearted and….just and angel. Went outside with Holly for pics. Got some awesome pics of her with the blow up tits. Then as we were leaving she asked if I wanted them and of course I said HELL YA!! Lol. She signed 'em for me. Left the hotel about 3-4am As I said that’s in brief. It was an awesome experience that has changed my life forever. Everyone in the band are exceptional human beings and nothing can describe the kindness and generosity. To let fans come and attend an after party for the band is awesome. But to let fans come and attend your own Birthday Bash….I was speechless and still em. I’m going to stop now other wise I’ll just keep going. Kudos to FORT MINOR and especially Cheapshot…happy birthday for the 5th man!! If so...I shall describe her for you. Got some more pics too. She was absolutely gorgeous. An angel. Her hair is an orange/red colour that almost lights up the entire room. She has a very delicate sense of fashion. Tight dark blue jeans. A beautiful top with a simply magnificent purple jacket. It os hard to go into detail so I'll try post pics of her.
