another great thing is the new smash bros is coming ^____^ gonna be tons of new characters, even the snake. the new smash bros is gonna use the old controller with a coord, so thats neato.

Okay second post with more thought added into it.

 

Ps3 is the overall best system. And is relatively cheap considering all of the stuff it has in it. A stand alone Bluray dvd player costs about $1000 USD. Which is alot of money. Lol. Ps3 comes standard with Bluray. So that alone should tell you that it's some a fairly reasonable price. It has a blu tooth controler. Wi-fi connections plays almost any burned cd/dvd avalable. Built in usb 2.0 drives, removable 60 gig drive. And alot more.

 

Xbox is like one step down. ps3 has better graphics, but thats not to say that 360's graphics suck. Becuase they dont. 360 may be a step down, but it is way worth buying. Mainly becuase of the price tag. If the ps3 costs 600 usd imagine the game prices. Everyone says that the 600 price tag was unexpected. Who's everyone? That was the most obvious thing ever. With the capabilities of this machine, who would think itd be 400?

 

If anything wait a year and let the ps3 price lower. As, for me i'm getting the Wii, i've always been faithful to seeing what it has to offer. I'm not in it for the graphics or how pretty looks. I'm in it for the game play. How good it gets. The controller looks like it can keep me hooked. ps3 will probably have good game play, but the price tag is insane.

Nintendo wii just emphesises that its for kids, the Gamecube was childish enough but wii? I mean comeon dudes you got to widen your market. Xbox360 has been very good I played it a couple times I like it but Xbox's marketing is the opposite to Nintendos whilst Nintendos main age group is 7 - 15 year olds the Xbox's is for early adults 16+ generally 16 - 24. PS3 is gonna cost way too much and I feel it will fall behind Nintendos and Microsofts console due to the fact they appeal to specific areas, most people with PS3's with be in mid teens who want a bit of both but the biggest market is Microsofts (16-24) who spend twice as much on games then the other markets.

 

Developers are saying sony have waisted money on making the DPI as high as it is on their system as they think the highest they will be able to go for a long time is Xbox's max spec.

 

Im gettin a 360 after how shit the PS2 was in terms of reliability.

 

Xbox360 games in UK cost £45 - £55

Ps3 games expected to cost £60 - £70, which means after 3 games u coulda baught another Xbox!

I had my opinions on all three consoles but anyway,

 

Wii:I am sceptical about the controller.. Some of you like it.. But I don't wanna fell like I am changing my t.v. channel when I am really playing a game.. Plus, after I turned 10, Nitendo's games haven't really intrested me..

 

Even thought the PS3 is the most expensive.. It is the one I have my eye on, but money is a big factor.. So it all comes down to my parents.. So, I will either end up with the PS3 or the Xbox 360..

I've been a Nintendo fan for a while now, mostly a Zelda fan. Twilight Princess looks great now (I have had it on pre order for 2 years) But is coming out for both Sweet! I'm definately getting a Wii, Red Steel looks really awesome.

Well, here is how I break it down.

 

Playstation III: Too....fucking....expensive! I'm sorry to all the fanboys out there, but after seeing how the Nintendo DS whooped the PSP in the American market, it seems to me that Sony's strategy of packing everything in and putting a hefty price tag on the product isn't working out so well. Despite what this Japanese company thinks, we are not made of money. To my knowledge, no game system has cost the whopping $600 dollars they are asking. So it uses blu-ray discs...big whoop! And with the development kits for the system costing upwards of $20,000 , you can expect hefty prices for games as well.

My Forecast: Very expensive system, very expensive games, expensive accessories, paid internet access, you'll get all the bang for your bucks, but will anyone pay that much for console that will probably be outdated by a new PS4 in three to four years?The PS3 looks like more of a virtual gold-digger then anything else.

 

XBox 360: Its a nice system, I'll give the credit where it is due. It has faired decently in the market, despite many compliants about the console being defective. But, the console is doing well. It has good games and a strong fanbase (Thanks *only* to Halo), and the new Halo III is on the way, which means all the Halo fans will be scrambling to get new, bug-free 360s.

Forecast: Duldrum for now, this console's sales will pick up a huge speed as Halo III looms in the horizon. I expect this console to do just fine and be a cheaper, yet effective alternative to the PS3. Smooth sailing for Microsoft here.

 

Nintendo Wii: For a system cast aside in doubt by many gamers, this system has made a huge splash at E3. Nintendo certainly knows when to come out, guns blazing. And they did it this year quite effectivily and to their best advantage. The system is the most portable of the three, and the simplist of the consoles. The *free* global Wi-Fi internet hookup is also a huge perk for the system, as the booming land of internet gaming grows. The remote is totally innovative and unique, and even if it does flop, the system comes with 4 Gamecube controller slots and two memory card slots. Plus, its backwards compatable with Gamecube and capable of DLing a number of famous games onto the system.

Forecast: By far the most economic choice of the three, this is one of its greatest advantages. The innovation and the free internet is also a big perk for gamers, and steering away from the younger crowd to a more mature audience definitly will perk interest as time goes on. As it stands now, the Wii has surprised everyone with its simplicity, its innovation, its compatability, and its fun factor. While still the underdog in the console race, Nintendo seems to be promising a fresh gaming experience - which may end up paying off big time in the end.

Either way, they are in good shape for the future.

The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess is definitly THE game to buy for the Nintendo Wii. I was watching X-Play today, where it was nominated for Best Game at E3...they showed some screenshots and how the game is played with the Wii-mote, and I have to say it looks very, very fun. I can't wait.

Nintendo Wii and the 360 both fail. The PS3 is the only console with actual next-generation technology, but at a hefty price. The PS3 controller is definetly the best out of the three, IMHO. I mean, besides sports and the game played on TV, the two things connected to eachother like plastic nunchucks are really useless. PS3 has a motion sensor that's just more common sense. But i probably won't buy the PS3 until the price goes down after a year. I'm not THAT leet and sleep the night before outside a Bestbuy so i can get first dibs. But quality wise, PS3 ftw. Nintendo Wii, 360 win economically though.

The nintendo wii is going to come with a harddrive full of nintendos old games.

it was being previewed and it was said that it would be loaded with alot of Nintendos games on it. SO wen u buy the console, it ALREDDY has games on it.

unlike xbox 360 and ps3 with which ur looking at 100+ dollars per game.

i herd they put close to 20 mill on halo 3.

BUT FARKKKK i herd it had EVERYONES heads turning to look at halo 3 :O
